Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

We've been making this delicious pumpkin bread for almost ten years. Everyone always loves it and I've given out the recipe countless times. My boys beg for it as is, but we sometimes throw in a couple of handfuls of chocolate chips, too.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

This apple pie is unbelievable! Not only is it delicious, but the liquid that's poured on top turns the lattice a sparkly golden color. We couldn't believe how gorgeous it was when we took it out of the oven and neither could our family and friends when we made it for Thanksgiving. Thank you, thank you!

Egg and Spinach Casserole

I sauteed the onions first, added two extra eggs, and substituted with some ricotta since I didn't have enough cottage cheese. I also added some garlic powder and left out the butter. This recipe is good enough to stand on its own, but easy to modify, too. I took it to a breakfast event and it was very quickly eaten. Thank you!

American Lasagna

I've been making this lasagna for ten years. I started out making the sauce, but eventually switched to using 4 cups of my own meat sauce, which I usually have in the freezer. I follow the recipe for the rest, sometimes adding a few layers of fresh spinach when I assemble it. My husband and I have a special fondness for this lasagna - I first made it to impress him while we were in college, and now our three young sons gobble it up, too. Thank you, Ethelmertz!

Glen's Cheese Sauce

This is the perfect cheese sauce! We use only sharp Cheddar instead of Swiss. My children will happily eat any veggie if I mix it with pasta and top it with this sauce. I have also added ground turkey to the pasta, veggies, and sauce, to make a quick and easy dinner.

Cheesy Vegetable Lasagna

We love this recipe! I have been making it for years, often as the vegetarian main dish in the buffet at our parties. Make sure to salt and use plenty of parm for flavor. We use 8 oz of ricotta in place of the 8 oz cottage cheese, and up the amount of each veggie. I make the lasagna as tall as the 9x13 will allow. It always gets eaten and we've received many compliments!
