So easy and loved by my coworkers and boss; in fact, it's the punch recipe my boss REQUESTS. (Unfortunately, that means the punch is always my responsibility!..)
For smaller functions it's easy to halve the recipe, but no matter what, DEFINITELY cut back on the sugar. Even using 1/8th of what's called for can be on the sweet side.
As another reviewer mentioned, if you freeze the mixture (everything but the ginger ale), the punch gets a slight slushy texture and stays cold longer without adding ice. (But, perhaps additional ice cuts back on the sweetness?)
In my area strawberry drink powder (aka Kool-Aid) is hard to find, so I use a tropical fruit mix instead.
