About this Cook
My name is Rayuka and I'm 20 years old. I absolutely love to cook and bake. I find that the best things are made when I'm experimenting and just making things as I go!
My favorite things to cook
Italian, American, Asian, Baked Goods, Anything with pasta and different sauces! Experimenting with my Wok, my casserole dishes and making delicious treats my Boyfriend quickly devours are always a pleasure :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
I loved making Oven Surprise; It was always a very favored special breakfast treat! I'll be sure to post the recipe so everyone can experience the finger licking deliciousness! :P
My cooking triumphs
I decided to cook one night when my boyfriend and I stopped by my moms house. I turned up with this delicious Chicken,Spinach, and Baby Bella Mushroom casserole tossed in an Alfredo sauce and baked in the oven with a Ritz cracker crust! MmmmMmmmmm I also recently baked and cooked like i was running a restaurant (just in one of those moods) making Lasagna, Creamy Potatoes Au Gratin, Fresh sauteed Asparagus, Peanut Butter Cookies, and Chicken and Asparagus Casserole! Now I'm off to make some mini-muffins and a lemon-blueberry cake while i cook dinner.
My cooking tragedies
I've burned a few things while not paying attention....but aren't we ALL guilty of that eventually??

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes
Cathy! Try putting two chopped up cloves of garlic, one in the potatoes and onions and one in the roux before stirring in the milk! It made it so amazing! I finally made this last night! It was delicious and ill be eating it for lunch today. This is my first review ever and I'm just excited that I was able to cook finally :). Of course I always put my own twists on it I also put italian herbs, a garlic salt pepper (very light) and chopped up chives on the very top. I cooked the potatoes for about 20 minutes on medium heat just to soften them so I could cook them for only about 45 minutes in the oven. Towards the end I took the aluminum foil off so I could let the top bubble and brown! We had it with asparagus and delicious steaks
