Basboosa II

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
I have tried many times to get a proper recipe for this desert which mom used to make for us as kids. This is as good as it gets and I made it repeatedly for my little family. Ditto with the rose water added to the syrup/mixture or both if u want.

Curried Leek Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2008
This is a very good recipe. My husband who is the pickiest eater in the world loves it. I make it with low fat butter to sautee the veggies and add good chunky whole wheat bread next to a big bowl of this every winter. I have recommended to my friends.

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
This was awful. Ended up eating the topping and throwing the crust away. It did not rise and was chewy and doughy after 20 minutes in the oven.

American Frittata

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2004
A good recipe although not too special. I added some bell peppers for a distinct flavour and shredded some cheddar and mozzarella on the top before inserting it into the oven. My husband didn't like it, but as an expectant mother, this made a very healthy and filling breakfast recipe.

Fish Fillets Italiano

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2004
I am a big fan of fish and Italian cuisine so u can understand my enthusiasm 2 try this dish. However when I did, I was severely dissapointed. The fish tasted bland and the sauce was nothing more than a pasta or a pizza topping sauce. Won't do it again..

Easy French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2003
I made it for my husband as he was bored from everyday's breakfast, he had just one and wasn't at all impressed. The result is really bland and not worth the hype. I doubt that this is the way french toast is meant to be.. Not recommended.

Banana Smoothie I

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2003
This was good enough to forget the fact that it had a raw egg!! I used to make this for my husband but instead of the egg I used to add some canned strawberries and a touch of honey -He likes sweet drinks-. And I'd resort to a touch of red food coloring, just a couple of drops and it would give it a lovely rosy color. Hint: If u run out of vanilla u could add a teaspoon of rosewater..

Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2003
This recipe was good and the taste was light, not too sweete, not too bland. I added a bit more of cinnamon since my husband loves it. Otherwise great for a light breakfast.

Beef and Bean Pot

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2003
This recipe saved my life!! Well, not really but I was surprised when my husn+band called and said that he's bringing along a couple pf his colleagues to lunch and I had no idea what to prepare. It was a wonderful recipe, I substituted the American cheese for red cheddar and the tortilla chips for cheese ond onion crisps, and alotta mozzarella. The guests loved it with a green salad and mashed potatoes.
