Easy Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
True confession: I got the slow cooker idea and then found your recipe. My husband didn't want the extra flavors you added so he just put the 6+ lb. precooked Kentucky Legend in the slow cooker for 3.5 hours on low and it was perfectly heated through and juicy. Your recipe sounds terrific--I just wanted to let people know that the slow cooker option is a great way to save oven space at holiday times.

Mini Cheesecakes I

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2011
Just my humble opinion, but these were mediocre. It was my first attempt at any cheesecake, so I will keep trying other recipes or at least use graham cracker crumbs in this one. The vanilla wafers seemed tasteless to me. Served them at a party with the cherry pie filling so they looked OK, but only a few people even tried them.

Heather's Best Ever Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2011
We loved this! We ate it with a salad that had strong flavors, so this was perfect as is--i.e. not too bland for us. Husband says it's a keeper. I personally like the thick ranch dressing because it coats and stays on to really hold the crumbs on, as opposed to a thinner Italian dressing. The chicken is deliciously moist and we will be enjoying this often! Thanks for sharing it!

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
Great new dish for the rotation of meals! We had Italian the night before we ate this so I put in basil instead of Italian seasoning. Bacon and cheese are delicious and add a nice richness to the dish. Thanks for sharing it! (I made a double batch and there is only a tiny bit left)

Apricot Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
We love this with pork chops and with chicken breasts. To cut the sweet experience you can serve with sides of rice and steamed broccoli or an Asian salad with cabbage, or with egg rolls and even dip them in the sauce.

Whipping Cream Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
I thought this needed a little more oomph but wanted to try it anyway. It's ok, but I prefer my previous recipe that is similar but has a whole onion sliced and sauteed in butter with the mushrooms, then I add the cream, pour over breasts in a 9x13 dish. Cover all with swiss cheese slices and bake. Very rich and can be served with lighter side dishes.

Kickin' London Broil with Bleu Cheese Butter

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
My family gets bored, so I thought I'd try this for something new. WOW!!! 10 stars! I bought a small London Broil in case they didn't like it. Although the kids ate it without the bleu cheese they loved it! Eight thumbs up from our house. (due to weather I broiled it inside but it was still fabulous) Thanks Robyn!

Apple Enchiladas

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
Very tasty! I had the caramel apple pie filling and used that. Rich and delicious with vanilla ice cream. Our personal opinion was no vanilla is needed in recipe. Thanks for sharing a keeper!!

Crab and Pea Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
I forced myself to stick to the recipe and not add or change it. I doubled it for a carry-in and it came out nicely and is pretty. I'm the only one in my family who eats green peas, so I ended up eating leftovers and I think I will add less peas next time. Even for me it seemed like too many peas per bite. I think the idea of croutons or celery--a little more crunch--would be perfect. The bacon is a great addition and adds good flavor. Having said that, this probably has a high sodium count because I drank TONS of water about an hour after I ate this. Overall I really liked it and it is quick to make and is nice for a buffet.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
I just saw this yesterday and thought with all the good reviews I'd try it. We all REALLY liked it. I don't always measure, but did with this. Even using the exact amounts, the salt level is pretty high, so don't add a little extra of any ingredient. The flavors blend well and taste terrific! We had it with rice and noodles--two of us had rice and two had noodles and everyone liked it. New addition to our keepers file. Thanks!!

Easy, Cheesy Tortellini Bake

Delicious--nice to serve as a vegetarian option and also is a terrific basic recipe to change around with different flavored sauces, different pastas, or meats added. A new keeper for us! Thanks for a yummy comfort food dish!!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
My only two cents to add is that next time I may add a little milk or chicken broth or white wine to thin it. The cream cheese makes it very thick. I liked the taste a lot, but I served it to a houseful and no one asked for seconds. Great for a quick preparation meal, but I think a little liquid would help.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2010
Loved the cream cheese! The only way I've ever made this at all is with cream of mushroom soup and hamburger, so I loved this one but my son said he likes the old way better. The taste is very rich, and I made the meat one day and the noodles the next night. It made a huge batch and went together very quickly the second night. Thanks! It's a keeper!

Wake-Up Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2010
Three-fourths of my family loves this casserole! My husband says the carbs are too high for him. This is easy, quick, tasty, and great for having breakfast for supper or anytime. Thanks for a winner! This is delicious as is, or can be tweaked with other ingredients!

Peanut Butter/Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
These are a real hit! I bake a lot for church functions and don't taste things before I take them, so they have to be good without tweaking. This recipe is very yummy as is, but I can see lots of little additions you could make if you want to change it up at all...marshmallows, nuts, different flavors of chips. This is one of my new favorites--you can very quickly make 2 or 3 batches for taking somewhere too.

This is delicious! Sadly, we have a sesame allergy in our home so can't use that oil but the rest is terrific. Sesame oil really adds SO much to dishes! Love Kung Pao--thanks for sharing this!

Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2010
I loved the flavor of this and after reading the great reviews I tripled the sauce because I love it on everything. I used chicken with skin which gets pretty greasy. The flavor was really good and my whole family loved it, but the sauce was a little too greasy to pour very much over side dishes. After it sits overnight in the frig I will skim off the grease and it will be terrific. Great sauce--I will use it on boneless, skinless breasts too. Love it!
