Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies III

I was very disappointed in these "cookies". They are NOT cookies, this is cake or muffin batter...NOT cookies! Also, the recipe calls for entirely too many choc chips; they overpower any hint of pumpkin flavor you might have tasted. All the reviews suggest such variations in the recipe that it changes the original completely, but their suggestions are dead on....

Brownie Caramel Pecan Bars

It is definitely a decadent dish. If you do not have a sweet tooth you will likely not care for this dish. Luckily, I have a sweet tooth. I made this without the nuts. It definitely needs the nuts to counter the sweet, but for various reasons - we don't do nuts in our house. I made this a second time and replaced the nuts with toffee (you canuse something like a Heath bar chopped up)it turned out fabulous. Also, the seond time I made it I used Worthers Originals caramels rather than Kraft caramels... fabulous.

Stuffed Pork Chops III

We LOVE this recipe!! It's our regular meal rotation. We tend to do lowfat butter, lowfat everything... and it's still good. If you want really yummy use the best butter you can find...boy does it kick up a notch.

Squash Casserole I

My husband loved this dish. I wasn't happy with the stuffing topping as seemed a bit chewey to me. I took the advice of other reviewers and cooked the squash and onions together in a skillet with the butter. I think next time I'll take one of the other reviewer's tips and soak the stuffing mix in with the melted butter before putting on top. We loved this though. I used low-fat butter and sour cream as well as low-fat, low-sodium soup and it was fabulous!

Split Pea and Ham Soup I

fabulous, my husband and I really loved this recipe. Of course it matters the flavors you use when making your ham... all the flavors of our Orange-bourban ham came out in the soup... yummy!

Dirty Rice

This was incredible. We ommitted the nuts and it was fabulous!!! There is just two of us so there were a lot of leftovers. Definitely put the fresh onions and squeeze the fresh lime juice on top... it just makes the dish.****UPDATE**** I have to say this has become one of our most favorite recipes.. we alter it only a little by adding shredded chicken. We just buy a pre-cooked rotiserie chicken and use the white meat.. fab!!!

Chicken with Tomato, Orange and Rosemary Couscous

Wonderful, I was surprised. I think next time however, I will add pinapple instead of orange to the couscous for a little sweet flavor and I also added a bit of fresh diced garlic. My family really enjoyed this meal.

Cabbage Roll Casserole

I hate cabbage! This does NOT have an overwhelming cabbage taste even though it's loaded with the cabbage. I also used the advice of one of the other reviewers and bought the pre-package cole-slaw.
