Texas-Style Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2010
I made this recipe to go along with brisket and pulled pork sandwiches for my brother's 40th bday party. It was a huge hit! I didn't put in any meat, and added a tsp. or two of cumin, which added a really nice flavour. When choosing your BBQ sauce, try to get one with a smokiness to it...SO good! I also used one jalapeno instead of green chiles.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
Oh my...this was the BEST carrot cake I have ever tasted or made for that matter! I used this recipe to fill a bunny-shaped cake pan for Easter brunch which worked out very well. My family enjoyed the cake very much. Nice & moist..and the frosting was amazing :)

Very good recipe... I did use white wine, and it was fantastic. I also added some chicken to the dish...turned out great!

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
I just made this pie for a family get-together and I received the highest compliments :) The ONLY thing I would change is perhaps cut the sugar back by 1/2 cup? It was a little on the sweet side...but it still was amazing! I topped it with whipped cream around the edges and drizzled melted chocolate! Mmmm mmm!

Sandy's Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: May 22, 2008
Super good recipe! Made 24 cupcakes - topped with my own vanilla buttercream. I did cut down on the sugar, but after tasting them, will definitely put the full amount into the mix. Very moist and super chocolatey (if that's a word? ha!) Will keep this as my staple "from scratch" chocolate cake recipe!

Pasta e Fagioli a la Chez Ivano

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2006
I made this soup in honour of the Opening Ceremony for the 2006 Olympics in Torino...and i have to tell you, this recipe is absolutely amazing! The only change i made was to add about 1/2 can of navy beans - like Olive Garden's. I halfed the recipe to 10 servings and it turned out perfectly. I would suggest making the Pesto Bread Rounds recipe off of allrecipes to go with the soup...YUM!!
