Classic Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
This was really bland and had an unappetizing texture. I'm only giving it a star because the man of the house ended up eating it all but I think it was due to there being little else to snack on at the time.

Aunt Millie's Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2007
This is delicious! The only change I made was to use cream of broccoli soup instead of mushroom because I don't care for it. This is so cheesy and yummy. Definitely a crowd-pleaser.

Blue Cheese Dip II

This was delicious. I served with chips and veggie cold cuts. Wouldn't change a thing!

Easy Cheesy Chicken I

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
This was a little too salty, probably from all the soups. Other than that, we enjoyed it served over mashed potatoes. I would make again but would use low sodium soup and maybe add broccoli like others suggested.

Sherry Sour Cream Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2006
This had a slight vinegar taste to it which I enjoy but I'm not sure if a lot of other people do. I served it over penne noodles but I think the sauce would go better with mashed potatoes. I'll try it again by decreasing the amount of sherry and adding garlic and italian seasoning.

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2006
Great recipe; tastes just like you'd get in a restaurant. I followed recipe exactly and it turned out perfectly medium rare. I also made a blue cheese sauce to go with but it wasn't necessary; the steak was perfect as is! Will definitely make again.

This was very good. I garnished it with frsh basil since I had some on hand. Yum! Will definitely make again.

Boiled Peanuts

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2006
These tasted exactly like my Georgia-born mother-in-law's boiled peanuts. I probably doubled the amount of salt and after cooking for 3 hours on the stove, I transferred them to a crock pot on low heat for 7 hours. They were worth the wait! Next time I'd use a little less salt though.

Parmesan Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2006
this was pretty good. I added chopped garlic and broccoli and used oregano in place of basil since I was out. 6 slices of bacon was enough; 12 would've been overkill. I only used 3 1/4 cups of milk but the next day it was too thick so next time I'd use about 4 1/2 cups. Also, it needed more salt.

Emergency Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2006
I never would of thought to use hot dog buns for garlic bread; great idea! It works if you have leftover buns (which I always seem to). They don't taste as good as french bread does but they definitely work in an emergency situation.

Green Beans with Bread Crumbs

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2006
I used canned green beans and omitted the parmesan since I didn't have any. This is a great alternative to plain green beans, very flavorful. I didn't measure the breadcrumbs, just sprinkled it on after cooking.

Chicken Delicious

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2006
This was so good! I added chopped onion and garlic and omitted the parmesan since I didn't have any. I only cooked 4 chicken breasts and the amount of sauce was perfect so, if cooking for 12, I would triple the sauce ingredients. Served it over mashed potatoes, yummy! My fiance loved it and he's picky about new recipes. Definitely a keeper, thanks!

Summer Beer II

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2006
I made this for the 4th of July and it was delicious! I thought vodka and beer mixed together would be weird but it wasn't at all. The beer just made it fizzy.

Fast Creamy Tomato Penne

Reviewed: May 7, 2006
I used ground beef because I didn't have pork and I didn't add green peppers for the same reason. I added about 3 cloves of chopped garlic. Although my family liked it, I thought it was a little bland which is why I'm giving 3 stars. Next time I'll add italian seasoning or something to give it more flavor

Tomato, Basil, and Feta Salad

I loved this! It's like a caprese salad, only with way more flavor. One of my new favorites!

Creamy Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: May 2, 2006
I made these for Easter and thought they were a little bland. The cream cheese didn't add anything but empty calories and my family thought the ranch was weird. I didn't add onion but don't think it would've made a difference. I'll stick with a classic recipe from now on

Bleu Cheese Macaroni

My fiance raved about this dish! We both love bleu cheese and it really fancies up a traditional mac and cheese. Yummy!

Outstanding Chicken Dinner

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2005
Although my fiance loved this (minus the artichoke part) I thought it was just ok. The sauce was a little bland for my taste. Maybe adding fresh minced garlic would help. Will probably make again but add more flavor somehow.

Basil Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2005
I love shrimp and this lemony, tangy recipe made the most out of it! Using fresh basil is a must; I don't think dried would do much for the recipe. Very easy to make and delicious!
