Italian Wine Cookies
This is a super huge recipe. I make a large batch of dough w/ 1 cup oil, 1 cup wine, 1 cup water and about 6-8 cups of flour until it workable. Also add 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 tsp. cloves and the finely chopped orange peel of 3 large oranges. Fry them then honey them. I like to add a couple of Tbsp of sugar to the sugar to form a glaze.

Mary Mazzie's Anise Cookies
This is definitely a biscotti and not a cookie. It is a good base recipe for a soft sponge biscotti. I made this with brown sugar, cinnamon and lemon extract. I would put 2 tsp of extract next time for a more definite lemon taste. I glazed the top added sprinkles for more sweetness and a festive look in the photo. Make a nice big batch.

Blue Ribbon Sugar Cookies
Light, crisp? yes. Tender? no. I found these cookies to be so crisp and light that they were dry and sandy. A little strong on the lemon extract too. Not a winner for me.
