About this Cook
I'm just a 17 year old guy with a slightly disturbing obsession with food: just call me a foodie. I always had an inkling for cooking, due to the fact I would watch Food Network almost daily since I was 6. I like trying new things and broadening my horizon, who knows, one day I could be the next Iron Chef.
My favorite things to cook
Pasta... pasta... and more pasta. Pasta is like a blank canvas, you can create anything. It's definitely my favorite thing to cook. Wings, Sicilian pizza, and shrimp dishes are some of my other favorites, also.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have a mostly northern family, so we love our lima beans and cornbread. Lima beans, slow cooked in ham hocks, and broth... with a buttered cornbread on the side. WINNING!
My cooking triumphs
FRESH pasta, and ravioli... a task that seemed difficult but proved to be the complete opposite. I even impressed myself when I won a steak competition between my big sis and I! I made an awesome T-Bone steak, seasoned with pepper and sea salt with butter on top. Delicious; and I haven't even started to talk about my smoked ribs.
My cooking tragedies
I tried making creme brulee one day... sadly, it was a disaster; but I will avail!

Tortillas II
I LOVED them, no exaggeration. This was a very basic tortilla and yet they were better than any store-bought brand I've even bought. I halved the recipe and made TWELVE mini tortillas... and they tasted great; made some great chicken fajitas with them! Next time, I'll add garlic powder and white pepper for more flavor. I recommend these to anyone who wants to try the real deal and not the store-bought with 10 unnecessary ingredients.

Basic Crepes
Perfect... perfect, and perfect. I added some vanilla and sugar which really made these crepes taste simply amazing. I loved them. Perfect for a low calorie breakfast!

Funnel Cakes IV
Maybe I'm just use to eating the best funnel cakes around (I use to work at Six Flags) but I thought these were plain. So, I added vanilla, sweetened condensed milk, and cinnamon until it started to get a sweeter flavor. I gave it 3 stars because I feel this has potential with the addition of flavor. UPDATE: I saved a little bit of batter from yesterday, and made more funnel cakes today, topped them with powered sugar, carmel, leftover cream cheese icing... and BOY... it was delicious. I will make these agin with the additions! 4 stars! ****
