My favorite things to cook
I love to cook savory soups and stews. We purchase meat and vegetables locally, organic when available. I also love to bake. Cakes, cookies, breads - just about anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Holiday baking. Ethnic and otherwise. We try to make lefsa, flatbread, krumkake, rosettes and kringla every year. When hosting the holiday celebrations I love to add yeast rolls and breads.
My cooking triumphs
Successful Swedish meatballs! Have to live up to traditions set by mothers and grandmothers and the Lutheran Church annual lutefisk and meatball dinners.

Before learning about parchment paper I had lots of scorched cookie bottoms.
