North Carolina-Style Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2004
The "vinegar hot sauce" was too spicy for my guests, even though they enjoy spicy foods - and I even used less red pepper than the recipe called for.

Supreme Strawberry Topping

Reviewed: May 22, 2004
Perhaps I cooked them a bit too long, syrup came out a little too thick. However, it still had a delicious taste. Will try again.

Beef and Bean Chimichangas

Reviewed: May 22, 2004
Made only 4 Chimichangas, and froze the remaining meat mixture for future use. Looked and tasted GREAT, brushed olive oil over tortillas before rolling them, came out nicely browned and crispy. Added this one to my all time fav's!!!

Easy Minute Steaks

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2004
Excellent way to enjoy cube steaks that are not all dried out. Like others, I used Onion soup mix with a cup of water and added sauteed mushrooms on top, Covered with foil for half the cooking time.

Very easy to make and very tasty. Best if consumed entirely, left overs (if any) do not reheat well.

Seasoned Oyster Crackers

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2004
A very tasty snack - used only 1 bag of crackers and cut recipe in 1/2. Worked out fine. The big surprise was finding a very similar recipe printed on the back of the bag of oyster crackers!

Jalapeno Poppers I

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2004
I planned on making these for the Super Bowl, but to make sure they would be OK I made a batch Friday Night just to try them out - WOW - Didn't have corn flakes so I used a mixture of Bread Crumbs, corn meal and potato flakes - and as others have said, coated with flour before the egg dip, EXCELLENT!!!

Potato Chips

Crispy and tasty, but had trouble with them sticking to the plate - even though it was well oiled. Perhaps I should have sprayed it with Pam.

Breaded Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2004
Takes a little work but they are worth it. I used the buttermilk substitute - regular milk with a tablespoon of lemon juice added. Dipped and breaded the fingers twice, then refrigerated for 20 minutes before deep frying to hold the coating on better. Dipped in Honey-Mustard sauce from this website - YUMMY!!!

Buffalo Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2004
An excellent party snack, However the flour mixture makes enough for 2 or more pounds of shrimp. As others have said, its a lot less messy if you leave the shrimp in the bag. I also used Frank's Hot Sauce with good results.

Coffee Liqueur III

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2003
The review by JENNYF10 must be for some other recipe - this one does not use coffe grounds. I think it tastes as good as the famous name brand but is a little thinner in texture, everyone loves it.
