Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
Very yummy. Made this for a cookout we just had (Smoke BBQ Briskett). Everyone loved it. So I have to say it can easily compliment either a Holiday Dinner or a Summertime Cookout.

Monkey Bread IV

Another thing you may want to try---get an 8oz box of cream cheese. Cut into squares and place a square in the center of each biscuit. I have also added a tad bit of Maple Exact to melted brown sugar and butter. YUMMM-OH!!!

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2008
Good Cake. Lots of steps but if you like coffee, then it's worth it. I didn't read the directions well, and mixed everything in Step 1 together. But it was still yummy. Only had 2 cake pans, and that was still okay. Didn't have mascarpone in my market, so used Cream Cheese instead, and that was still good. So you can pretty much improvise alot, and still have a great finish. VERY VERY MOIST CAKE!!!

Lollipop Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
Excellent Cookie Recipe!! I made Heart Shaped Lollipop Cookies for my daughters class and this recipe was perfect. I did take the advise of others and used Butter Shortening. I will definetley use this again. (Tip: Roll into balls and refridgerate for an hour or so. Keep them in the Fridge in until ready to use).

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2007
Yummy!!! Brother-n-law who never liked meatloaf, loved this one! My sister took the recipe. Changes I made, (as by some suggestions) was sauteed the onions in olive oil and garlic. Used less milk, crushed Ritz Crackers, dash of Worchester Sauce, and sprinkled in Cayenne pepper (although next time will add MORE b/c the sweet and spicy taste was great!!!). Also did brown surgar/ketchup on both top and bottom. Yum Yum Yum!!!

BBQ Chuck Roast

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2006
Yum! Very good flavors. My rotissarie was not working, so I bbq'd it on the top grill for alittle over an hour and then brought it down for the remainder. There was sooo much sauce, and I just kept basting it (actually drizziling it over the top) every twenty minutes or so. Very tasty!! Can't wait to eat the leftovers today. We will defineltey be making this again.

Very Good. We're on a Low Carb diet here and this was perfect. I may broil it longer with the cheese topping to get that brown crispy taste next time.

Strawberry Trifle

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2005
Nice, light, and simple. Very very yummy! I used Cheesecake flavored instant pudding, as suggested by someone else, and fresh strawberries. I also made my own whipped cream (with Splenda instead of sugar), very very good. Will be making this again very soon!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2005
Great Great recipe-and technique for roasting chicken. Low heat/longer cook time. I made this with chicken peices (a couple of whole breasts, several thighs, and several drumsticks). Cooked for about 3 hours (maybe a tad bit longer) and during the last 45 minutes rubbed alittle margarine under and over the skin of each peice. SOOOO YUMMY!!! My dinnerparty guests RAVED about this! They could not beleive how moist it was, ESPECIALLY the breasts. Will make again and again!!!

Cola Pot Roast I

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2004
My first review was in 2004. Needless to say it's 2009, and I'm STILL USING THIS RECIPE. I use it on a weekly basis with chicken. I prefer WHOLE tomatoes, I don't use the celery, not even the garlic salt. I also LOVE IT with Cherry Cola (we've since renamed it Cherry Cola Chicken) and if I have any type of red wine, I throw some of that in it. I used Sangria last week, and it was YUMMY DELICIOUS! This is on our Weekly Menu. First Review: I'm only giving this recipe 4Stars because it turned out too salty. But it WOULD HAVE BEEN DELICIOUS!! The flavor was great, the sauce was yummy, and it's a great dish! Next time I make this-which will be next weekend for company-I will only use the Garlic salt and omit the plain salt. I also did not have a dutch oven, so I cooked in an electric skillet, and kept it on simmer for an hour and a half-and I didn't have celery or any other veggie, but it was still very yummy.

Seafood Lasagna II

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2004
This was very good. Unfortunetly I decided to make it the night before serving it, and re-heated it the next day. DON'T DO THIS!!! Make, Bake, and Serve all in the same day. It tasted DELICIOUS the night I made it, but lost something overnight, and didn't have that same "Wow!" taste. It dried up and truely lost that yummy kick. I used, frozen shrimp and scallops, and immitation crab, Contindina Alredo Sauce with Garlic, and it was just delicious. I will be trying this out again, but opting not to make the night before.

Raspberry Trifle

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2004
Yuuuuummm-eeeee! Very very good! I used Splenda instead of Sugar, used "Reduced Fat" Cream Cheese, and Angel Food cake instead of Pound cake. It's alot lighter and not so buttery. Next time I may use another "berry" along with the raspberry. Very good! Great raves from my company.

Asian Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2004
Yummy Delicious! I have been looking for a cole slaw recipe similiar to one that we order at a local BBQ resturant (Wood Ranch BBQ-here in California). I think this is the closest I will get. And it's incrediable! The dressing is fan-tabulous! The slaw you can actually add-lib as you go. (I used green/red cabbage, green onion, a ton of cilantro, cucumber, and that's really it). Next time I may throw on some peanuts. Everyone looooved this!

Pan-Fried Asparagus

Reviewed: May 16, 2004
Delicious! Everyone loved this. I have made this twice. The first time I followed the directions to the T but it came out super salty. The second time I omitted the salt, I also only used a quick drizzle of olive oil and it came out PERFECT!!! I think the butter has just enough salt to flavor this recipe. Yum Yum!

Orange Cake

Reviewed: May 16, 2004
Very Good and Suuuuper Moist. I tweaked it just a bit. Read all the reviews about it not tasting very "orangy" so I used Lemon Cake Mix, and Orange Extract. As suggested by others I used Powdered Sugar instead of regular and dropped a tad of Orange Extract in the glaze. My only problem with the glaze was that is was VERY runny and it was too much! So next time I think I would cut the glaze recipe in half. But it was very very good, and I will probably be making it quite often this summer.

Crab Brunch Casserole

Reviewed: May 9, 2004
Made this for Mother's Day Brunch-DELICIOUS! Everyone loved it. Made it with 1lb. imitation meat and used fresh diced onions(did not have time to sautee) instead of dried minced onion. Yummy! My brother-n-law asked to take home the leftovers.

French Toast Souffle

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2004
Very very good. A great "base" recipe for a yummy casserole. I tweaked it just a bit. I found a bread called "French Toast Bread" at the supermarket (Vons). I cubed 2/3's of a loaf, and followed the recipe and advice of others (I used 6 eggs) and also added brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and Butter Pecan Syrup to the cream cheese mixture. Before pouring the egg mixture onto the bread, I sprinkled the bread with cinnamon and brown sugar. After the casserole baked, I squeezed a swirl of syrup onto it so it would melt into the souffle. It's a great recipe! I made it for an Easter Brunch, and I will DEFINETLEY be making it for a Baby Shower Brunch that I'm having in June. YUUUUMY YUMMMY! Everyone LOVED IT!
