Pumpkin Bars II

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2006
I love these bars. I decided to use 1 c. white sugar and 1 c. brown sugar instead of the 2 c. white sugar in the recipe. It turned out great. I like the depth of flavor the brown sugar added to it. Thank you Amy.

Barbeque Beef Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2008
This was so quick & easy. I cut the recipe in half. I used 1lb. ground beef, 1/2 chopped onion, 8oz. can of corn, 14.5oz. can of petite cut diced tomatoes and 1 pkg corn muffin mix in an 8in. square pan. I read the previous reviews and started off with 1/2 c. bbq sauce. I added about another 1/4 c. Baked for 20 minutes. Be careful. Top looked done and even toothpick was clean but some of the cornbread underneath was a little gooey. I would bake it another 5 minutes.

Cranberry-Black Cherry Gelatin Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2006
This was delicious. I wanted to use cranberry jello but couldn't find any. So I used raspberry jello and instead of hot water, I used light cranberry juice. I didn't add the nuts. Other than that, I did everything the same. Turned out GREAT. Yummy. Will make again.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2006
These cookies were FANTASTIC. I read some of the previous reviews and decided to add some chopped up candied ginger. I cut up the ginger in tiny pieces and added just a little bit of the flour to it so they didn't stick together. Worked out great! Served them with Thanksgiving dessert. Thank you Amy!

Apple Honey Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2007
I used granny smith apples and followed the recipe exactly but I didn't put any nuts in. It was AMAZING to say the least. I took it to a family Rosh Hashanah dinner and they kept sneaking back to eat more of it. Did I say it was AMAZING? Try it!!! It's really good and easy to make as well. Thanks you Jayda!!!

Microwave Oven Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
I've made this recipe several times now and it's AMAZING. My mom's been making brittle the old fashioned way for a long time, but this is SOOOOO much easier. I LOVE IT! I like to use any other nuts but peanuts because they give my brother-in-law migranes. All nuts work with this recipe. Thank you Linda C.

Stove Top Tamale Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2004
This recipe was fantastic. Very easy & delicious. I added a small can of corn because I like the flavor in my tamale pie. I also left off the green onions. Nobody knows the difference. I used sour cream on the side as well. I'm making it again tonight for company because it is so easy and yummy.

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
This cake turned out divine!!! I did heed the advice of some previous posters and seperated my eggs. Cake was very light and "spongy". I poured the amount of milk called for with no changes and it turned out beautifully. I did simple whipped cream on top with very little sugar in it. My BIL told me this was his new favorite cake and requested it for his birthday!!!

Fluffy Pudding Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
It really wasn't as good as I expected. Once it was done, it tasted more like store bought then homemade. I'm really looking for a good milk chocolate frosting.

Kugel

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
I looked at this recipe and decided to try it for my daughter's birthday party!!! It was the first time I made kugel from scratch. WOW!!!! It got incredible reviews from all of our guests. I basically doubled the recipe. I did more than double the butter and cream cheese. I didn't use the sour cream or the cottage cheese. I did everything else. I put it in two 13x9 pans and baked as directed. I chilled overnight and cut into squares for serving on the buffet. It was AMAZING!!!! It will now be my go to kugel recipe. Thanks!!!!
