Cajun Seafood Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2003
I couldn't get my hand on the white pepper and only used 1 tbsp. of parsley, but it tasted great!

Zesty Tilapia with Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2003
Based on all the rave reviews, I was really shocked and disappointed at how this dish turned out. My husband and I followed all the directions except we did not have scallions, but scallions would not have saved this dish. This dish is just *way* too sour! It was unedible. Even after we tried to "fix" it, it still tasted like Key Lime Fish. So unless you really, really love lime, use maybe 1/4 the amount of lime juice that is specified in the recipe. You can always add more if it's not enough for your taste.

Caramel-Glazed Flan

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2003
Since I really love flan but have never made it myself, I was really hoping that this recipe would turn out. It turned out perfectly! I could not ask for more. Yum!

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2003
I think how this dish turns out has a lot to do with the wine that you select. We must've selected the wrong wine, and I didn't do the things other reviewers did to improve/fix this dish. It turned out awful.

Chicken and Pasta Primavera

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2003
I used Campbell's classic Cream of Mushroom soup, and the flavor of this dish turned out to be so-so. It was pretty bland. However, when I reheated it for a second meal, I added olive oil, salt, pepper, and bacon bits, and it tasted a lot better.

Grilled Portobello Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2003
Since I don't have a grill, I baked this in the oven at 350 for 15-20 minutes like the other reviewers suggested. It turned out great!

Stuffed Pork Chops III

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2003
I could not find thick pork chops, so my husband and I sandwiched the filling between two thin pork chops instead. We skewered them together with toothpicks and put more filling on the outside of the "sandwich" because we had so much filling left over. We also used chicken broth instead of beef broth as some of the reviewers suggested. Then we cooked it as specified, and it was wonderful! Thank you!

We did not use as much lime as specified, but it still turned out great.

Roasted Potato Medley

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2003
I'm not sure why, but the potatoes did not absorb any of the spices. They were edible but really bland.

Quick Stuffed Tomatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2003
I was really looking forward to this dish, but it turned out to be a total disaster for me. The mint drowned out all other flavors, and this dish needed salt. I will not be making it again. Sorry.

Eggplant Croquettes

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2003
This was tasty. The patty mixture was too thin, so we added more bread crumbs to make it stick together as patties. I think next time I'll pulverize the eggplant in a blender cause it didn't mash too well. Thanks!

Rigatoni

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2003
This was edible but too dry, and it also needed salt. Even after I added the salt, my husband still did not like this dish at all. I thought it was so-so.

Easy Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2003
This came out pretty well. It was pretty much just as advertised--quick, easy, and tangy. Just enough sour to be tangy and taste good. I will make this again in the future. Thanks!
