Michelle's Soft Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2007
Very nice sugar cookies! I used butter instead of margarine and didn't chill them at all. Had no trouble rolling them out and cutting them with cookie cutters, and they baked up beautifully. I've never made successful sugar cookies before, but these were perfect. I rolled the cookies fairly thin since I knew they would puff up a bit, so I ended up getting more than 6 dozen heart shaped cookies. Very popular at work and with my family. Thanks for this one!!

School Lunchroom Cafeteria Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2007
I was pleasantly surprised by these rolls-- I wasn't sure, since the name sounds kind of strange, but they turned out awesome. I used fat free margarine substitute in place of the butter and shortening to cut back on some of the fat. They were very good with soup or for breakfast the next day, and we thought they had plenty of flavor. Honey butter is a great idea to make these even better! Thanks for a great recipe!

Buttermilk Pancakes I

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
Very good pancake recipe! Probably the best I have tried from this site... they tasted almost just like the IHOP version, so I was impressed. Not sure if the blender was the best way to go, because all the flour ended up getting caught up at the bottom. Cut down a little on the oil too (maybe 1/8 c. instead of 1/4c.), but otherwise I kept it the same. Now, if I could just find some butter pecan syrup.... :)

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2006
This is the best cheesecake recipe I have ever made, and I have made MANY cheesecakes! It does have to bake a bit longer than the recipe says (think 15-20 minutes longer), but I place a sheet of aluminum foil over the top to prevent it from browning. It always comes out perfect, and is very popular at parties and get togethers! Thanks for this one!

Corn Dogs

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2006
Just a note to those who are trying to be healthy-- baking these corn dogs does not work! I think the batter itself would be great, and we didn't have any trouble getting it to stick once we dried the hot dogs completely. I was hoping to avoid the oil and grease by just baking them and they turned out with a strange taste and texture. If you really want a corn dog, my advice would be to definitely fry them like the recipe calls for :)

Chicken Wing Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2006
This dip was excellent... we've made it several times now, and it's always very popular. We found that tortilla chips were too salty, so we got a small loaf of french bread and cut it into slices small enough for dipping. Everyone loved it, and we are always looking for an excuse to make it again!

Apricot Chicken I

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2003
My boyfriend and I both love this chicken... we tried it for the first time last summer and weren't sure how good it was going to taste, given the unusual combination of ingredients, but it turned out great. This can also be made in a slow cooker, but we found that it tasted better baked. Thanks for a great recipe!

Turtle Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2003
This was a wonderful cake, although it took some time to make... definitely worth it! We used a regular chocolate cake mix (not german chocolate) but thought it was better anyway. Thanks for a great recipe!
