We had used another salmon marinade the night before but my daughter liked this one much better. I guess I will add a little more garlic powder. I don't eat fish but she does so I want it to taste good and she said it was a "KEEPER" Thanks!!!

Used Lactaid milk which usually makes no difference. They turned black while cooking. Took over 2 hours to cook and tasted like nothing.

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2013
Our family does not like Dijon Mustard so I left it out. I too cut butter in half, increased garlic to 5-6 cloves chopped. I added some EVOO with the butter and garlic and then some white wine and let it simmer together very low heat. I too used frozen shrimp and put them in pan last couple of mins. It was VERY good. All family loved it. Will definitely make again. Thanks for recipe!!!

Chef John's Make-Ahead Turkey Gravy

I am making it today 11/21/12. Made the wing stock last weekend. It turned out so great I simmered it for as long time and got 4 cups of beautiful looking and tasting gravy. I am so freaking excited!!!! My only problem now is how do I go about re-heating tomorrow without ruining it??? I want to add turkey drippings also... Well at least I have great tasting gravy this year. Will do this all the time now. I love you Chef John!!! Thanks so much for your videos and recipes!
