Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2003
Very Good!! I added more salt, pepper, and a little touch of garlic (of course each person is different in taste.) Also had each person add more cheese to their individual bowl if wanted. Even better the next day warmed up! (I personally liked it MUCH better the next day.)

Glazed Meatloaf I

Very Good! (especially for meatloaf sandwiches!) Added about 1/2 c. of bread crumbs instead of the bread chunks. Will definiately use again and again.

Mrs. Sigg's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2004
Don't even try another recipe!! This one is just too good. Boyfriend ate the entire batch in less than 2 days and was glad when I didn't want the last two cookies left in the cookie jar. I did as the others mentioned and added another 1/2 c. of PB. This was a big help as just a 1/2 c. of PB would have not been enough. Also do as instructed and take out after 8 minutes. You may not think they are done, as I did, but the will soon finish cooking after being taken out of the oven. All I got to say is no other PB cookie recipes even comes close to this one. EXCELLENT!!!

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

the BEST!! Turns out great everytime. A tip I do use though is to use Parchment Paper..this will prevent the roll from cracking when rolling.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2007
Good! Had company over and they all really enjoyed. I made this along with chicken fried rice and cheese wontons (all recipes found on this site and I gave a review for). What an excellent and complete meal. NO changes were made. Just make sure to turn the chicken every 10 minutes to baste with the sauce.

Crab Rangoon III

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2007
If there were a 10 star rating..that is what I'd give. The only changes..since we do not like water chestnuts I added chopped green onion instead. Use the same amt. of green onion as you would water chestnuts. A little time consuming but well worth it!!

Cream Puffs

Everything is great about this recipe..the filling and the shell. So easy to make. My future mother in law uses the same shell recipe but fills the inside with tuna, ham, turkey and/or chicken salad.

Homemade Crispy Seasoned French Fries

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2007
Good just not great. I would recommend mixing up the flour/spices/water mixture in a bowl and then put it into a ziplock bag. As the other reviews make sure to put each potato in the oil 1 at a time or they will stick together..you will have a french fry pancake if not.

Oatmeal Whoopie Pies

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
Very Good! This is just my own little by accident tip. I made these on a hot day and the icing started to melt between the cookies so I put the cookies in the freezer. I wrapped each cookie in saran wrap and froze. So yummy, not too hard and the icing still soft. A yummy treat into a cool treat.

Corn Dog Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
I didn't really think they were the best but my 3 yr. old picky son thought they were great so that's all that matters. He ate the whole batch himself and wanted more, IMMEDIATELY. I would consider them more of a "kid-food". The 2nd batch I did I put the cut up hot dogs in the muffin cups before putting in the corn muffin mix. It seemed to work out better, atleast for me.

Alice Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
One of our new favorites. We don't pour the honey mustard over the chicken though. I just allow each person to have their own dipping bowl with the dressing in it to accommodate to each one's perference. Also have made it without the mushrooms and it's just as good.

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
5+++ I can't say enough about this. For Thanksgiving I was running short on time and I wanted to make homemade cinnamon rolls. So I got on this site and found this recipe. Ran to the store and got the biscuits and from there on easy as pie. Everyone faved about this and wants the recipe. (For christmas gifts I am typing this recipe up on fancy paper and putting it in a new bundt pan..so thanks for also making my gift giving easy..lol) Anyways the only thing I did do different was to only cut the biscuits in 1/2 instead of 4 pieces.

Slow Cooker Sauerkraut and Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2008
I made this last night and instead of putting it in a crockpot I use a large stock pot on the stove. Still turned out good. I cooked it for 1 1/2 hours. I however did not use 1/4 c. of brown sugar..I use 1/8 c. It was just perfect for us. Next time I am going to drain the kraut and cut it into smaller pieces. I just got introduced to this concept at a local hot dog shoppe around here and it's just so good. It too has the sweet taste that this one has.

Always turns out great, unless that is if I kill the yeast..lol. Anyways, I don't use a bread machine for I don't have one but I just start out the yeast in warm sugar water just as you would any other bread.
