Grilled Coffee and Cola Skirt Steak

OK I'm going to be the first to rate this. I don't think I'm going out on a limb, either. Chef John makes fabulous food, and in the video, the meat looked perfect. Think I'll serve it with mashed potatoes or rice to take full advantage of that sauce.

White Bean Chicken Breast Chili

Love chef John's videos and his recipes. This is no exception, except I'm one of those people who do not like cilantro - I replace it with parsley. Also appreciate the white meat gesture.

Baked Scallops

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars, is because I melted the garlic and butter together in baking dish first, and then mixed the scallops around in the butter and garlic. Then I poured a little of the mixed dry ingredients over the scallops and mixed them together; then poured the rest of the dry mix on top. It tasted rich and terrific, and will definitely make again.

Ladybug's Poppy Seed Chicken Casserole

I only gave it 4 stars because I haven't tried it yet - just found it. This is for Nick. The soup in the recipe is chicken soup, not mushroom, and if you don't want to use canned soup, make a white sauce and add whatever. I'm definitely going to make this because I love chicken AND Ritz crackers!

King Ranch Chicken Casserole

Loved this, and so did my husband. Ate it 2 nights running because there are just 2 of us. Froze the rest for later. Made a couple changes just because it was what I had. Added a pkg of quesadilla spices to use it up, and, of course, more cheese. That was it - delicious!

Grandma's Corn Pudding

Made this as a side for family Christmas dinner this year, and it was very good. I followed some of the reviews and added vanilla and nutmeg to the mix and added the corn starch to the milk before adding to the egg mix. Used the flat glass baking dish as suggested and it worked perfectly. Found out it is even better served with Maple syrup.

Stuffed Eggplant Parmesan Rolls

Made this for dinner last night. Liked it a lot, but the odd thing is the recipe has no parmesan in it. I added mozza before adding the pasta sauce and then sprinkled parmesan on top before baking. Next time I won't roll the eggplant, just layer it because there was a lot of the cheese stuffing left over and it tasted so good that I want to use all of it. Only gave it 4 stars because I changed it a bit.

Grilled Asparagus

Had company last night and it was raining hard, so i roasted them instead of grilling. Read reviews, and because I wanted to prep these along with other things I was making, I took the advice to marinate them til I was ready (about 3 hours), and added balsamic vinegar and garlic salt instead of regular - they were great and at 400 f they only took about 15 mins - the same time as my main halibut wellington.

Pork Apple Burgers

We love these burgers! Followed the recipe exactly except I only had a lb of ground pork, so I halved the ingredients except for using a whole egg. Left them in the fridge over night, and they stayed together perfectly. Didn't have to add bread crumbs or anything else. Will make again and often.

French Onion Green Bean Casserole

Made it for my family today for Thanksgiving (Canadian) and everyone loved it, including my husband who informed me before that he didn't like green bean casseroles, and why was I trying something new when company is coming? He loved it!! Followed the recipe exactly (wow, that gruyere is expensive, but worth it) Love Chef John - Thank you.

Easy Broccoli Salad

Made this night before last, and it was great. Even the leftovers which I had last night were still firm and delicious. Next time, I think I'll add some crispy bacon and sprinkle of parmigiana cheese on top.

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

The only reason I gave it only 4 stars is because I added gravy I already made after browning the chicken. Also, used fresh onions and garlic as other reviewers did. It was delicious and juicy. We both loved it.

Apple Crisp I

I made this today with 5 large apples - was too many for the size of the dish - 4 would be perfect. Will make again because it tastes great, but next time, will mix the cinnamon in with the (brown instead of white) sugar and melted butter for the topping. The top was crisp where there was melted butter drizzled, but not where it wasn't. Thanks for a tasty recipe, Sande

Chicken Livers Fandango

The only reason I made it 4 stars is because I changed it a bit. I made the whole thing in an electric frying pan. Didn't use the soup, and used a lot more chicken stock and wine and sherry, because I needed it to keep for dinner about an hour and it was getting too thick. It was really good and the basics were as written. Will definitely be making again. Mu husband and I love chicken livers and they're pretty inexpensive here because so many people don't like them. Yeaa for us

Breaded Pork Tenderlion

Just found this recipe and haven't tried it yet, but I want to know how thick to cut the tenderloin before I flatten them - I'm sure it's delicious because it's very like doing veal or chicken and that's excellent. I only gave it 4 stars because I haven't actually done it.
