Cranberry Nut Granola Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
These are wonderfully easy to make and even better to eat! I did make one very small addition ~ just before going in the oven, I sprinkled the top with cinnamon and sugar. The texture is what we call in our house, "crunchewy" - Perfect!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
I made these today and all but six are gone!!!! They were a huge hit and I didn't change a thing! They are the exact cookie that I used to make years ago from recipe handed down from an elderly friend, unfortunately that written recipe was lost...and now has been found! These cookies, baked as instructed, were soft and moist (for as long as they lasted!) Because ovens differ, I increased the bake time by 2 minutes. They turned out perfectly browned around the edges but still soft and chewy!

MOST EXCELLENT!! Very easy, very tasty and with just a little less sugar - the perfect blend of sweet and tangy. This will be my "go to" frosting!

Deviled Eggs I

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2007
This is a great basic recipe, since everyone has listed some of their "additions", here's mine - fresh or jarred horseradish. I agree that it needs a little more mayo and I also used a little prepared mustard instead of the mustard powder - it adds to the creaminess and the horseradish adds a little "zip"!

Parsnip Spice Cake with Ginger Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2006
Well liked by friends and family (teenage daughter LOVED it)! Omitted the ginger just because I didn't have it on hand! Did a "blind" tasting, not telling the "Secret ingredient" (parsnips). After the secret was out only increased interest!!

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2006
This is a GREAT recipe! My family loved them. I did take the advice of other reviewers and added some of the butter/seasonings blend to the biscuit batter. I also added a little more cheese. Since I didn't have to add any extra ingredients and it was a really simple recipe it get high marks!

Quick and Easy Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2005
4 Stars for the 'quick & easy" part...needs a little boost in the seasonings. I added jamaica jerk blend to add a kick. Experiment with your own seasonings - it's a great base to build on.

Quick and Easy Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2004
I made this as written and it was "loved by all"! Even my VERY finicky 8 year old son. Our daughter requested clam chowder at home, and I think we've found one that's a keeper! I did add approximately 2 cups of frozen, cubed potato. Also, for the"heartier" appetite, you may want to thicken this recipe.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2004
I was a little skeptical, but in the end everyone in my family really enjoyed it!! My husband and daughter requested MORE broccoli. We rate it a winner!! The only changes I made the second time were to add julliened carrots and reduce the amount of cornstarch. What a fabulous and easy recipe!!
