Bill's Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2012
This is pretty much the recipe my grandmother used for her biscuits and gravy and has been passed down for generations. The only difference is she always used canned condensed milk instead of whole milk. This is one recipe that is best cooked in a cast iron skillet if you have one as it helps intensify the flavor.

Anise Biscotti

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
Wow, delicious!!! I made these in hopes of mailing some as a gift. Didn't have brandy or anise extract so used milk and almond extract. They taste great! The only problems I had were being patient enough to let them cool (before cutting into sections)and not eating them before mailing some. Guess I will be making more batches soon.

Bangers and Gnocchi with a Roasted Shallot and Cheese Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2012
I love gnocchi and cheese but this recipe was just ok. The cheese sauce needed something else to liven it up. Surprisingly my husband liked it more than me but I don't think either of us will be in a hurry to make again.

Pumpkin-Oat Scones

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2012
Delicious! All I had were quick oats and it still came out well just had to bake it a minute or two longer. The spices gave it a nice kick too. Not really a fan of the frosting but I have never really liked the powdered sugar frostings. This will definitely be a keeper.
