About this Cook
I come from India and I was very enthusiastic about cooking since I was in college. But I actually started cooking after I got married. i.e. when I was 26 years. :) I can confidently say that I am a good cook. I do not really belong to a certain genre in cooking. I am not completely traditional or modern. Although I like some recipes very authentic. Especially Indian non-vegetarian recipes. I like fusion in vegetarian dishes. I love baking cakes and cookies. I have baked cakes on various occassions like Birthdays, Eid parties and social get togethers. I Love baking Pizza as well.
My favorite things to cook
Lamb/ Goat Biryani, preferably Hyderabadi and Bombay Biryani. Mixed Vegetable curry. Paratha. Cakes with Whipped cream topping. Cakes with Fondants. Cookies. Maccaroons Pizza. Pomfret Fish. Chicken. Turkey
My favorite family cooking traditions
Konkani. Especially Fish and sea food. Staple food is Fish curry and Coconut Rice. We include cocount in manu fish curries and desserts.
My cooking triumphs
Vanilla fondant cake with whipped cream and mango filling. Lamb biryani was a hit during one of parties. Alphonso mango cheese cake.
My cooking tragedies
First pineaple cake I attempted for my husbands birthday was really a disaster.

Whole Egg Mayonnaise
Awesome. I was so excited when it turned out so good. Olive oil flavor comes out so clear. Will try it with different variations. I am sure I will never BUY a mayo.

Amish White Bread
Lovely so so so soft bread. Reduced sugar to 1/4 cup to suit my taste. Going to make only this recipe and none other.
