Ginger Salmon

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2015
I gave this recipe a try with a few additions & I was really pleased with the end result. I added 1tsp of soy sauce, & 1 tsp angostura bitters. I also baked a large piece of filleted salmon. The used a glass baking dish, which I sprayed with Pam. The fish was tender, moist & flavourful can't wait to make it again..

Sherry's German Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2013
I made this recipe for Christmas day and got rave reviews on my turkey. I didn't follow the recipe exactly, like other reviewers, and it turned out fabulous. I used about 1.5 lbs. of bacon for an 16 lb. turkey. Basically I covered my turkey in bacon, once I had put it in the roaster, covered it with the lid & cooked it until the meat thermometer read 185 degrees. It made awesome gravy too. Neither the turkey nor the gravy was greasy at all. I used maple smoked bacon, not sure if that made a difference or not. I can't wait to cook a chicken or another turkey this way. Thanks for the great recipe!

Cosmopolitan

Nothing like I've had in the bar, WAY too strong for me. I "watered" it down with lots more cranberry & lime.

Oatmeal Praline Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2012
This is an excellent cake recipe! I did bake it in a 9x13 pan and it was perfect. I did not make the broiled icing however, I was in the mood for caramel icing so I made that instead. Wow! Deliciousness!!! Try this recipe & you won't be sorry if you like spicy spice cakes. (Make sure your spices are fresh.) It reminds me very much of gingerbread (cake). Thanks so much for sharing this recipe with us!!!

Pirate Stew

Sorry, I didn't like it. Just kind of blah. I did omit the sugar as per other reviewers. My company ate it and complimented me but they maybe they were just being polite. Vegetable Beef Stew by Ruth Rodriguez is way better.

Cinnamon Popcorn

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
This is a great recipe, I made it with my 9 year old nephew. I too overcooked the sugar portion of the recipe but it turned out none the less. I added vanilla to the sugar mixture after it was cooked. My house smells wonderful! I was going to take this to a party tomorrow night but I don't think there will be any left! Thanks for sharing!!!

This is so good! Fresh peppers are not available here so I used ground chipotle chilis instead. I made it very mild for my 3 year old. Everyone that came for supper loved it! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.

Individual Chocolate Cheesecake

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2010
This is a great recipe! I hate to admit it but I am one of those people that change recipes. I did not have chocolate wafer cookies that would fit in my muffin tins so I just crushed them and put the crumbs in the bottom of the cups. I also used chocolate cream cheese, which comes sweetened so I cut the sugar in half. I did not add the cocoa powder. And instead of melting the chips, I used them to decorate the tops with the remaining crumbs. These taste great and are easy to make.
