Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2012
Very easy and so good! This is definitely kid-friendly.. made it with my 3-year-old and we had so much fun decorating them with colored sugar, sprinkles, and M&M's before baking them.

Buttery Corn Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2012
This is delicious!! I think next time I will try to switch the flour and cornmeal portions and maybe decrease the sugar a little. I made it to go with "Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili" from this site. A husband-pleasing meal!

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2012
This was really good, but lacking something - I think my mistake was using a 'cooking' Marsala wine, and not adding enough seasonings. Will definitely make again, with a better wine and may add some garlic.

S.O.P.P.

Very easy to make... would be great on a good roll. I only used 1 lb sausage and 3 potatoes and it was plenty for me and my husband.

Balsamic Tortellini

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2011
We enjoyed this, although felt it was a little dry for our taste. It's just enough for two people, assuming you have bread or something else on the side - next time I'll double the recipe and probably have leftovers.

Baked Penne with Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
This recipe wasn't that exciting... basically just pasta with sauce, sausage and cheese. It was ok but lacking something.

Very easy and delicious! Nothing fancy, but it will be a staple here now. I might even double the mushrooms next time but I love them.

Home Style Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2011
I wanted to see what cream cheese would be like in mac & cheese, but it's not for me. I will use a different recipe next time. EDIT: Tried it again the next day, and it seemed to taste better. So I suggest making it the day before you eat it, and just re-heat! My toddler gobbles it up, so I might make it again just to have something on hand for her ;)

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
So easy! I LOVE slow cooker recipes with few ingredients and minimal work. I used a center cut roast since that's what I could find. Instead of using the oven (and dirtying another dish) I dumped out the broth, shredded the chicken and added the BBQ sauce right in the slow cooker. Set it on warm for another 2 hours and it was good to go!

Beef Tips and Noodles

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
I love this meal - reminds me of one my mom made when I was a kid. I did think it was a little salty so I'll try sour cream next time.. and fresh mushrooms, as I think they just taste better. The recipe says it serves 8, but it was enough for me and my husband with maybe one serving left over. So you may want to double the recipe if you're making it for a bigger group. Also, I pulled it out of the oven after 45 minutes and it was definitely done.. so an hour would have been way too long in my oven.

Mom's Best Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
This was my first time attempting a macaroni salad and it got rave reviews. I only rated it 4 stars because I used less than half the amount of sugar the recipe called for, based on the reviews. I made this the day before I needed it, and stirred it every few hours. It definitely tasted better that way because the flavors had time to blend together. This recipe makes enough to feed a small army, so I'll probably halve it next time.
