Brined Bratwurst

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2013
I'm not a brat fan, but I thought this recipe was fantastic as did my son and husband. The onions are amazing! I tried to rush this recipe and accidentally boiled the brine so the casings split. Some of the brats ended up looking weird and dried out on the grill. If there is an occasion to make brats again I will definitely use this one.

Sauteed Portobellos and Spinach

Reviewed: May 22, 2013
Awesome and hearty side dish! I've made this twice in 2 weeks. I frozen and fresh spinach as well as portobello and white mushrooms with equal success. Freshly grated cheese is the key. I love this recipe and will make it many times over.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2012
The perfect meatloaf! The family loved it. I didn't have saltines so I used bread crumbs and only had 1/2 the amount of ketchup so used chili sauce and put it on top. It was excellent! My family of 4 devoured the entire loaf so I'm glad I decided to double the recipe. We'll definitely make this again.

Quick and Easy Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2010
Great dish! Did almost everything according to recipe except I didn't have mushrooms so I used broccoli; didn't have cheddar cheese so I used American. Turned out great.

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
My husband and I agreed we'd "order" these again. They were tasty, light, fluffy and yet had substance to them. My 6 year old deemed them the best pancakes he's ever had. We will make these again for sure!

Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
Wonderful flavor and moist! I used boneless thick cut chops and they turned out wonderfully. I added cornstarch to the remaining liquids and it made the most devine gravy. I made the "Perfect Baked Potato" from this site and poured the gravy on that. Oh my, sooo good! Thanks for sharing this recipe. Definitely a keeper.

Perfect Baked Potato

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
Perfect indeed! I used the colossal ones from Costco and baked at 350 for almost 2 hours. I also used the ziploc bag method of tossing which was awesome. This is the first time I even ate the skin! Delish! Thanks!

Soy Milk Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
Very quick, easy and fool-proof recipe for pancakes. Flavor is great and they come out light and fluffy. I gave 4 stars only because I was looking for pancakes that sop up the syrup and are a little heavier. I would make this again.

Red Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2007
With all the glowing reviews I thought for sure this was the sauce I was looking for. It was not. The sauce was to tomato-y and too thick. I used the recommendation to use the paste instead of the sauce and I think the sauce might have been better had I used the sauce. The enchiladas at my favorite Mexican restaurant is thin and tasty. This was the exact opposite. Will not make this again.

Candied Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2006
I thought this was fantastic. I loved the caramelized onions and the sweet sauce on the salmon. The salmon was perfect. My husband and kids did like the salmon but wasn't crazy about the sweet sauce on the salmon. I would certainly make this dish again especially for company.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2006
Great chili. Has a little kick, so my 3 year old thought it was too spicy. Just added lots of sour cream and cheddar cheese. Our older kids really enjoyed this. I scaled this recipe for 15 servings for 9 of us 7 of which were kids and it was gone the next day. Only changes I made, cut back on the tomato juice and added a can of diced tomatoes.

Broiled Lobster Tails

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
The perfect way to do lobster. The paprika is what makes the flavor so special. I will never do lobster differently. Tender and flavorful the way lobster should be.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2005
Absolutely fabulous! I just made it for my husband's birthday and he had 3 huge helpings. "The best chicken dish you've ever made." Our kids (even the pickiest one) loved the meal. The sauce is the best part (I will make extra next time). The recipe is incredibly easy, stress free and devine. It is a perfect company dish. We used fettuccini pasta because we like thicker noodles. This will be a well used addition to my cook book.
