Corn and Zucchini Melody

Reviewed: May 19, 2004
This is preety good stuff. I had some corn on the cob that had been roasted on the grill, so I cut it off the cob and used it. It came out beautiful. Also very quick and easy. Gotta like that. Thanks.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: May 6, 2004
I've been using this recipe for a while now. I've tried others, but keep coming back to this one. I do double the recipe and use one can of Cream of Chicken and one can of Cream of Mushroom. I also top it with some slice jalapeno peppers before baking. This is a favorite at our house. Thanks for a great recipe!

Swiss Vegetable Medley

Reviewed: May 6, 2004
I made this for a cookout we had over the weekend. Everyone loved it. They are all big veggie eaters. I had to make a couple of subs because of what i had on hand. I only had a few slices of swiss, so when I mixed it up I used some grated parmesian in the mix with a little garlic powder. Then I layed the swiss slices on top to melt down over the vegetables. It was very good. I plan on making it for a Mothers Day gathering this weekend. It's a nice change for a veggie dish. Thanks for posting!

Lobster Bisque I

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2004
I may be the odd ball here, but this was not very good at all. Seems like it had too much tomato in it. The tomato way overpowered everthing else. It was just tomato soup with other stuff in it. My husband will eat almost anything. He didn't eat this.

Okra and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2004
I've made this a couple of times now. The first time I followed the recipe and it turned out great. The second time, I found I didn't have any canned tomatos, but I had a few roma's , so I diced those up and added a little tomato sauce. It still turned out perfect. Every one at my house loves it either way. I sometimes add a little Creole seasoning for a little extra kick. This is one of those recipes that's just real hard to goof up. Thanks for posting a great recipe!

Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2004
I made this Saturday to have for desert with Sunday Dinner. With the container of ice cream I had, dividing it in half was going to waste alot more cake than I wanted to. So I split the ice cream into 3rds. It made a pretty good fit to a 13x9. I made a Milk Chocolate cake with Vanilla ice cream. Instead of frosting, I used "Magic Shell" in a kind of checkerboard design and sprinkled a few chopped pecan pieces on top. It looked wonderful and was sooo very easy. Everyone raved. Thanks for posting Monica.

Shrimp and Crab Bisque

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2004
Very nice. I used two cans of crab meat and a package of frozen salad shrimp since they were already cleaned. I was on a tight schedule! The only addition that I made was a little cayene pepper. I wish I had doubled this recipe. Thank you for posting it.

Chocolate Pudding Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2004
Oh my gosh!! Chocolate heaven!! I NEVER double a recipe the first time I make it, but I'm glad I did this time. It would have all been gone in minutes. I didn't have a 9" square pan, so I doubled it. It was a nice fit into a 13x9. Just the right sweetness. I served it with whipped topping. It looked as good as it tasted. Thanks for sharing this.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2004
This is wonderful and really pretty easy. I have a deep 9" pie plate so adjusted the ingredients to fill the pie. Except for the sauce, which was a silly oversight on my part. I didn't have quite enough chicken broth, so I added a little cooking sherry to the mix. I also didn't have the celery seed, so I added some Tarragon instead. Everyone loved it. I'll just have to remember to up the amount of the sauce next time. Thanks for posting this recipe. It will be a favorite at our house.

Nice and easy. I added mexican corn to the meat mix and added some shredded Cheddar/Jack cheese in between the layers and on top. I also added a little chopped jalapeno to the mix (my family loves spicy stuff), served it with Spanish Rice and Refried beans, and they were lovin it!!! Thank you for a great recipe.

Gravy Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2003
This is a great base recipe. I put some scallop cut potatos in the pan, add 8oz sour cream to the soup mix with a little garlic powder. Cover the potatos w/ half of soup mix. Cover and bake 30 minutes while I brown my pork chops. Remove potatos from the oven and lay pork chops on top, recover and bake an additional 30 minutes. My family loves it.
