Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2013
I use this recipe about once a week. It's just my husband and I at home. I can make this, have baked chicken one night and use the leftovers for something else another night. With our work schedule the cooking time is perfect for us. I sometimes switch up the seasonings but the technique is awesome! Thanks for sharing

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

We love this. I got 5 of the small loaf pans of it. Thanks for sharing. UPDATE - I have subbed chopped nuts and dried cranberries in place of blueberries with great results. I may try chocolate chips next time.

Peanut Butter Chicken Skewers

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
Made these twice now. First time just as a glaze over whole chicken breasts and the second as the skewers. Lots of compliments both times. It's a new fav at our house!

Becky's Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2012
A good recipe but a little too salty. I will start with less mayo, I can always add more, and cut way back on the salt. I used green grapes but I think next time I may use red. One reviewer said they used Craisins. I may try that one time too!

Shrimp Linguine

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2011
Quick, easy, yummy. What else is there? Followed the recipe exactly. I found a guy who markets his own pasta and I bought a package of Habinero Linguini to serve this over. It was over the top! Thank you for a great recipe.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
We..loved..this!! worked perfectly for a Sunday evening dinner. The only sub I made was I didn't use sirloin, I used round steak seasoned with Cajun seasoning instead of just garlic powder, and I had no bullion cubes so I used a half a can of beef broth I had in the pantry and doubled the corn starch. Served it over rice with a nice crusty bread...HEAVENLY! Thank you for posting this.

Steve's Spicy Shrimp Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2011
Very good. followed the recipe exactly except I used only a 1/2 slice of bacon to wrap them in and instead of putting them on skewers I used toothpicks to secure and laid them right on the grill. Love this one!

Shrimply Delicious Shrimp Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2011
Yum! Just what I was looking for. My shrimp were huge so I did cut them up some. Per other reviewers I was careful of the mayo, just added spoonfuls at a time and used half Mayo half miracle whip. I subbed a chopped fresh jalapeno for the onioin b/c it sounded good. Added a pinch of Old Bay at the end.

Amish Meatloaf

This is probably the best meatloaf I have ever had. I was worried about the sweetness but it turned out wonderful and was well received by all who ate. I will be keeping this one. I won't change a thing.

Instant Millionaire Pie for Diabetics

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
I made this recipe for my mom and sister for our big family Christmas party. Lots of them tried it and really liked it. They were surprised at just how good it was. I have now given the recipes to several of them. I did use the suggestions made by another reviewer and used 2 boxes of the pudding mix, less of the pecans, and I used 1 1/2 cups of 1% milk. I will be making the recipe again for sure even for those like me who want something sweet but with fewre calories. Thank you for the post!!

Fat Pete's Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
Made it by the recipe, got tons of great comments on it. 16oz if chocolate candy is a lot more than I expected. Microwaving the peanut butter to be able to swirl it in is essential! This makes a nice light(hahha) fluffy fudge.

Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
OUT OF THIS WORLD!! I made my first Thanksgiving dinner, because my mom had to work, 36 years ago. I wish I had known this then. I have never brined a turkey....I will never not brine one again. It made a picture perfect turkey inside and out. I will never cook a turkey any other way. I got sooooo many compliments on the looks of the bird and just how juicy it was. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful solution to the dry turkey sydrome we have all encountered. Gone are those days!

Merritt's Butternut Squash Gratin

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
This is verrrry good. I love the way the cheeses accompany the sweet of the squash. My only issue was with the bread crumbs...that my be my own fault...mine were "italian' style crumbs, already seasoned with italian seasoning. And, then adding in the rosemary and thyme may have over seasoned for my taste.I think the next time I will tray a Panco bread crumb so that it is more coarse and not so grainy and not so already seasoned. I will make this again.

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2010
I've been looking for a baked recipe that I like. For week nites I usually just keep it as a simple stove top deal. This is probably the one I will use. It's easy and cheesy. I was afraid that the liquid would be too much but after baking it was spot on. I would not change a thing. Thank you for posting this!
