My favorite things to cook
Usually some kind of baking or pastry items. I love to cook pasta dishes from all countries. My guilty pleasure cooking item is french fries! My philosophy of cooking is that delicious food can be super simple with the right ingredients and right attitude!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We dont really have any. My mother assembled a cookbook out of all the magazine clippings she's saved over the years, over 97% of the recipes remain untouched. I am the first person to actually delve into cooking in a few generations.
My cooking triumphs
I am most proud of my pet-rat treats! Those little guys devour them and its so funny how excited they get even as i open the container!@
My cooking tragedies
I attempted crepes in school. I do not have the pan flip down!

Simple Pasta Salad
We lost the family recipie, and found this to be the closest, and best basic pasta salad recipe. My changes are that we typically use farfalle (or bow tie pasta) instead of rotini, and instead of parmesan and italian seasoning, we use Salad Supreme seasoning. On occasion, to make it heartier, we add pepperoni to it.

Blackened Chicken
I've made this several times now with success. I make minus the cumin, as our family does not like cumin. I x8 the recipe to pretty much fill a spice jar. My favorite use is to make blackened chicken on top of Alfredo pasta, so delicious! Simple but effective rub.

No Bake Cookies II
These are wonderful! I am not a big peanut butter person, but wanted a good chocolate no-bake cookie. I did boil the mixture for closer to 3 minutes, rather than the recipes suggested 1 minute. And as for the oats, I free-hand poured them until the mixture looked the correct consistency. These were set after about 5 minutes in the freezer. They have a nice chocolatey taste, and the sweetness isn't too strong. Will definitely be repeating this in the future.
