Ham N Egg Pizza

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
Awesome!! So delicious!! Just wanted to warn people to be careful of the type of pizza pan you use. I used the only pizza pan I own...a flat round baking stone. The problem was that I rolled the edges of the dough to keep the eggs from running all over. Didn't work though. As it baked, the dought puff up and the edges unrolled, the eggs ran off the pan and all over the bottom of my stove. I'm going to buy a pizza pan with an edge just so I don't have another big mess when I make this again....oh yes, I will definitely be making this again, but I think I'll double the recipe and add some bacon to better fill up my family of 6!! Thanks for a great recipe!

Throw Together Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
Very yummy!! We love tacos, but with 4 children 4 years old and younger, tacos are just too messy. This casserole has all the wonderful warmth and flavor of tacos with less work and mess involved. We paired this with "Sweet Corn Muffins" also from this site and the two complimented each other very nicely. Will definitely make again! My only change was to add some cheddar cheese, and I think I'll even add more cheese next time.....very good!!

Sweet Corn Muffins

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
WOW these are good!! Very fluffy, moist, sweet, just wonderful!! I prepared these for dinner tonight to go along side "Throw Together Mexican Casserole" also from this sight. Would also go great with chili!! Try these, they are the very best homemade corn muffins I've ever tried, and much much better than the boxed variety!! Thanks for sharing such a wonderful recipe!!

Apple Strudel Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2008
These are just wonderful!! I made these for my family & my brother told me that these are the very best apple muffins he has ever had and that he would love this as a cake too. My husband, children and father loved them too. I make these and freeze them to be devoured as a quick breakfast. I followed the recipe as is, and thought they were just perfect without any alterations to the recipe. Thanks for sharing!! This is a much loved treat in our house.

Penne Pasta with Cannellini Beans and Escarole

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
We really liked this. Easy to prepare, my husband cooked this for dinner tonight (and he doesn't cook very often, so if he can make it, anyone can). It was initially a little bland for our taste, so we took the suggestion of some other reviews and added some salsa, 1 1/2 grilled chicken breast halves, and a little cheese to the dish. Very yummy, easy, healthy, and very budget friendly!! Only cost us about $3 to make, and there are tons of leftovers!! Yeah, that means dinner for another night!!

French Brioche

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
FANTASTIC!!!! I've been looking for this exact dough recipe for years!! And finally....success!! What a wonderfully tender dough! I used this dough to make sticky buns and they were by far the best homemade sticky buns I have ever eaten. Even my husband says that they rival those you can find in a great bakery. I look forward to making this dough plain to make breakfast rolls that cream cheese & jam can be spread on. Very versitile and yummy!! You won't be disapointed!! The bread machine makes this especially easy to prepare!

Puff Pastry Salmon

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2007
Moist, flavorful, and easy to prepare...this recipe hits all the important points in our house. My husband loved this and he is an avid hater of spinach. This would be great for company too. It was like having a fancy meal in a fine restaurant, but was soooo easy to prepare. Thanks for sharing. This will definitely go into our regular rotation of meals!!

Thai Spiced Barbecue Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2007
WOW! This was the best grilled shrimp recipe I've ever used. Easy and mouth watering! I only made 2 changes (didn't have the exact ingredients in my pantry). I used honey mustard and dry curry. Came out perfect anyway. We made this for company...big big hit! Everyone wanted seconds. The recipe says 8 servings, but at our house it fed 4 adults. Will definitely be using this recipe again and again!

My opinion is shared by my family included my 2 year old son who is quite the little cookie critic!! Try these, you won't be disappointed!

Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes

If you like thick, fluffy pancakes, this is definitely NOT the recipe for you. These are very very thin pancakes. Will never use this recipe again.

Apple Honey Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2006
Tasty! Served this to the in-laws and it was a big hit. I topped this cake with a simple glaze of confectioners sugar and a touch of milk. Also tasty served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Will definitely make again and again!

Slow Cooker Rosemary and Red Pepper Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2006
This is really excellent. Chicken normally tastes very bland from the crock pot, but this is very tasty. I served this with penne pasta. I cooked an entire box of pasta, drained, then added 3 TBS olive oil, 1 C parmesan cheese, rosemary & oregano, and just a touch of garlic salt. The pasta complimented the chicken dish perfectly. Even my 1 year old gobbled up this dish. Give it a try!

Mom's Country Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2006
Just served this tonight with Chicken Fried Chicken (also from this sight). This gravy was very tasty, and easy to prepare. In fact, this is the first country gravy recipe I've tried that turned out. The only change I made was to add paprika, garlic powder, and a little season salt. Word of caution, when the milk is added and you can see the sauce is starting to thicken, watch it very carefully. It thickens pretty quickly, if you're not paying attention you have to add more milk to try and thin it out. Will make again and again!

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2006
This was really yummy and simple to prepare. I've never had fried chicken turn out so well. I followed other reviewer's suggestions and added some paprika & garlic powder to my cracker crumbs. Didn't have saltine's, so I used Ritz crackers....just as good. Really delicious. Served with Mom's Country Gravy also from this sight. Even my 1 year old loved it. Will definitely add to our normal recipe rotation!

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2005
Great recipe!! Made these for company and they were a big hit. I omitted the onion and bacon since I didn't have those 2 ingredients on hand. However, I do think the addition of those two items would make this wonderful dish even better. Will definitely make again and again! Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe!

Fresh Apple Spice Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2005
WOW!! This cake is so great, you just have to try it! I did make one change...I didn't have ground cloves, so I added an extra tsp of cinnamon. This HUGE cake bakes to a very dark color and has a very moist texture. I made a simple glaze using milk and powdered suger which I drizzled over the top. PERFECT PERFECT...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! This one is definitely going into my permanent recipe box! Thanks for a great recipe!
