Healthier Golden Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2012
Simply delicious! I took another reviewer's advice and seasoned and seared the chops before covering them with the sauce mixture and putting them in the oven. I followed the remaining directions and the chops turned out great! I paired them with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. Thanks for this wonderful recipe!

Slow Cooker Beef Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2014
LOVED this recipe! And so did my family! There were a few things that I did differently: I didn't use mushrooms (because my husband doesn't like them) but added potatoes instead, I used beef broth instead of chicken broth, and I cooked the roast for seven hours on high instead of six hours. Otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly and this pot roast was the bomb! Thanks, Chef John... you're the man!

Stuffed Bell Peppers

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
This was a delicious vegetarian stuffed pepper recipe! I used all of the ingredients except the textured vegetable protein because I couldn't find it in the grocery store; instead, I used stuffing.

Southern Candied Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2013
For the most part, I followed this recipe; however, I did incorporate some changes. First, I peeled, sliced, and boiled the sweet potatoes until they were tender, but not falling apart. Second, while the potatoes were boiling, I cooked the sugar mixture in a pan on the stove (btw, I DOUBLED the sugar mixture - my family likes SWEET potatoes). When the potatoes were finished boiling, I drained them and placed them in a metal sheet pan and poured the sugar mixture over them. Next, I covered the pan with aluminum foil and let it sit for a few hours so that the potatoes could absorb the sugar mixture. Then, I baked the dish on 350 for 20 minutes, removed the foil and poured some marshmallows on top, put the dish back in the oven and set it to broil 400 for five minutes. It was a HIT at Thanksgiving so I'm making again for Christmas. Thank you!!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2013
Very good! For the most part, I followed the instructions exactly. The only change I made was cooking the potatoes and onions on the stove first and then I put them in the casserole dish, added the cheese sauce, etc. This significantly reduced the amount of time it took to bake this dish and my potatoes were crispy on the outside and quite tender on the inside. Thanks for this delicious recipe!

Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2012
One word - DELICIOUS!!! The flavors mixed VERY WELL together! I followed the recipe almost exactly; I used a lite balsamic vinaigrette b/c that's all I had on hand. Thank you very much for this recipe! My family loved it!

Steak and Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2012
This recipe is THE BOMB! I kept all of the measurements the same. I just added 1 chopped onion, 1 red bell pepper, and some garlic powder. Also, I didn't have any beef bouillons on hand, so I used beef broth instead. This meal turned out delicious! Thanks!

This recipe was delicious! I tweaked the seasoning measurements to my family's liking, but overall, the fries turned out GREAT! Thanks!
