Penne with Chicken and Asparagus

I loved it and it was really simple. I sauteed white onion with the garlic and added carrots and kale. I also used a spice from Penzey's called "Mural of Flavor" instead of adding salt.

Ham and Bean Soup II

I followed many other reviewers suggestions by adding chicken base, Cholula hot sauce, a tablespoon of brown sugar (proved important), doubling spices, carrots and celery, plus a little extra pepper and then I garnished servings with Irish cheddar cheese (Dubliner) and freeze-dried parsley. Delicious!! Although, without all of that I may have agreed about the recipe being too bland.
