I have always had a passion with great tasting food. I have just recently really started experimenting with foods and wanting to cook. I have almost thought about going to school for it. The one thing that I have learned with the things that I cook is that it is never my opinion if my food tastes good or not, "I am never the only one eating it". If I think it is good, my family might hate it, love it, or think it is to spicy. You couldn't ask for more honest critics.
I do have a weak spot in cooking. Breakfast gravy. To most people it is the easiest thing in the world. For some reason it is my weakness. But I am determined to make my own perfection of it.
My favorite things to cook
As of the moment my favorite thing to cook is chicken leg quarters. I used to think chicken was hard to cook. But it did not take me long to figure it out. The only hard part is figuring out how to season it now. I also love cooking steak. I think I will start experimenting with bbq soon.
My cooking tragedies
My most embarrasing tragedy was when I first started really cooking. I made a meatloaf that Smelled pretty good while cooking. we took one bite. and everyone lost their appetite. I decided to give it to the dogs. They sniffed it, and turned away. LOL. I would have thought they would eventually eat it, but it was still there the next day.
