Pumpkin Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
Great receipe but soo thick. I like another review added 1 14 oz can chicken stock and then I added a 2nd can of diced tomatoes chili ready. Also added extra garlic, chili powder and salt & pepper. My son-in-law really liked the chili as did my daughter & granddaughter.

Sausage Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2006
TERRIFIC! I changed per other suggestions by using 2-1/2 C. buttermilk baking mix (I sifted my mix into the sausage and Cream of Mushroom soup. Also I sprayed w/ PAM the mini muffin tins and they came out easier than the ones I baked on a cookie sheet with no spray. I mixed the mixture the day before & used 2 spoons to form balls which was very easy and no stickyness like other readers said.

I added 1 c. raisens - not a very sweet cookie - next time I may squeeze a bit of lemon or vanilla frosting on them.

Cinnamon Hazelnut Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2005
I doubled the cinnamon, vinalla, used 1/2 c. butter - also I measured the flour then sifted it. I toased walnuts in a skillet (Like stir-fry) then used a blender to make them pulverized. A great recipe. I melted white chocolate tidbits and some semi chocolate - melted in microwave 3 min at power 70%, put in a ziploc snack size bag-cut off a corner to squeeze the drizzle on.

Peaches and Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2005
This is delicious!!! I used a 9 x 13 pan-doubled the cream cheese/powder sugar filling as the single receipe wouldn't have spread across the 9 x 13 pan very well, also I sprinkled 2 T sugar, 2 t. cinnamon on top of the gelatin mixture...Makes a very pretty dessert. I did do what 1 rate said and used milk instead of water.

Low-Cal Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2005
Since the chicken was dry (I shortened the baking time by 10 min) I threw some cabbage in the microwave to steam-added a dash of nutmeg, salt and 2 t. of art. sweetner) added this to the chicken and this made it 5*. I also baked an apple..this made it even slightly better with 2 T. of lite butter on it.

Cantonese Dinner

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2005
DO double the sauce!! I didn't use mushrooms, but did use pineapple tidbits w/ the juice, tiny carrots, 1/2 green bell pepper..wished I had taken the time to add cornstarch w/ water to thicken the sauce like 1 review said they did. Served w/ Green Salad w/ cranberries (a allrecipe.com receipe), Hawiian Bread and Elvis Presley Cake for my dad's 83rd birthday.

Elvis Presley Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2005
Made this for my dad's 83rd birthday. Served Hawiian Bread and the Cantonese Dinner w/ Rice. To cut Calories and I used Light Butter, lite Cream Cheese all egg whites instead of whole eggs, IF I had had Splenda on hand I would have used that instead of sugar. Did follow other sugg. ie. poked holes in cake and drained abt 1/2 of juice off.

I loved this recipe. I used fat free Ranch Dressing and it did really good. I didn't have shredded lite cheese so used a slice of 2% chedder on each piece of chicken. I appredciate it b/c it's low in calories and fat.
