Made this for the Super Bowl. It was so easy to make and it was enjoyed. I baked it in the oven instead if the slow cooker.

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
This was my first trifle. It was very good. I used one bowl chocolate cake III from this site and I used real whipping cream and mousse (1st time too). I shredded dark chocolate on the layers and top. This was very easy and very good.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
When I decided to make this pie I thought to myself, if this does not turn out this will be the last pie I make. AND it turned out great. I used the suggestion of mixing the sauce with the apples, and only using 6 apples. I used red delicious and granny smith. It was really good! Thank you for a recipe that inspired me to keep trying!!

French Bread

I am really not good at any breads and this turned out well. I used almost 5 cups of flour and I did add 1 tbs of sugar. It was good.

I made this for Christmas. I did 1/2c orange juice (with pulp) and 1/2c water, 1/2c brown sugar and 1/2c white sugar. I also added 1/4tsp of cinnamon and refrigerated for 2 days. It looked and tasted yummy.

Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
This is the first time I brined a turkey and it's true as the other reviews have stated - It's SO juicy and moist. As you are carving it, it looks very juicy. I will always brine a turkey. I did add sugar as others have stated. Thanks! This is the PERFECT TURKEY.

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

I marinated this for a couple of hours and TRIPLED the sauce as everyone suggested. It was pretty tender for pork. I'll probably make this again. Thanks for sharing.

Oven Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
This was pretty good. I took the reviews suggestions and covered with tin foil for half the time, used 1/4 olive oil, and marinated in ziploc bag for a couple of hours. I didn't have a few of the uncommon spices but it was still good.

Cola Pot Roast II

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
Wow! I am a beginner and this is my first roast ever!!! I was so happy that it turned out so good. I added mushrooms, corn, potatoes, and extra carrots. I used about 16oz of diet pepsi and McCormicks pot roast seasoning. It was so good. I did not add a gravy mix. Just some beef base and some cornstarch for the gravy. Thanks for sharing and all of the adjustments in the reviews. This is making my learning experience to be positive!!!

Beefy Baked Ravioli

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
This was pretty good. I used Italian sausage sauted with garlic and onions, doubled the sauce, can of diced tomatoes, used lots of Ricotta and Monterey cheese and used 25oz of pasta. This was tasty and there is plenty of leftovers (from a house of 2). I will make this again.

Best Carrot Cake Ever

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2007
This was pretty good. I think that I went a little overboard draining the fluid from the carrots and pineapple because it was borderline dry. It still tasted good. I'll make it again but maybe keep a bit of the juice. I only used 2 9x9 square pans and baked for 40 minutes. This is my very first carrot cake and I am new at this so, obviously I made a small error somewhere. I used Cream Cheese Frosting II and it was really good.

Greek Penne and Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
This is pretty good with all the alterations suggested by others. There is too much pasta so I would cut amount in half as others have mentioned. I used olive oil with garlic and onion.(as suggested) I doubled the cheese and tomato and added a can of diced tomatoes. We love cheese and tomatoes around here!!! :) I also used light feta but you have to know which light feta is good because some are tasteless. Pretty yummy. My husband liked it as well. I will definitely make this again and again. Thanks for the recipe.
