About this Cook
I really enjoy trying out new recipes that I find here at Allrecipes. I had long admired all the photos that other cooks were submitting on this site and decided one day to take a photo and submit it just for fun. That started a new hobby of photographing food. I find taking photos and always trying out new recipes makes cooking fun and not like a chore.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook and prepare healthy meals for my family. I try to avoid too much red meat and I have become pretty good at substituting ground turkey in place of ground beef (my family no longer can tell the difference) I love salads and also prepare a lot of chicken dishes. Chicken is so versatile I could cook it every night in a completely different recipe and my family never gets sick of it.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime that I can put a meal on the table that EVERYONE raves over that I just feel that's a huge triumph!
My cooking tragedies
Well..lets see.. I have set off the smoke detector more than once. But since I have never actually burned down the house I guess that was more of a comedy then a tragedy!

Ultimate Shrimp Scampi
this was delicious! I reduced the amount of lemon juice but left everything else to same. Great recipe!

Marinated Mozzarella Cubes
I loved this! Very easy to make and tastes delicious. I used to buy this at the deli at a local market and now I am happy to be able to make it myself. I threw in a handful of sliced green onions and I also used fresh basil. Wonderful!

White Fiber Mini Shells with Cherry Tomatoes, Basil and Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese
I loved that this was so simple and also tasted great! I served it warm for dinner but since it was just my husband and myself I had leftovers. The next day I had it cold for lunch and I think it just as good cold. Great recipe!
