Easy Shake and Bake Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2014
Added lots more spices but still bland. Used flour, corn meal, bread crumbs mixture but still came out limp. Not crispy at all. The thighs cooked exactly as called for were moist. Used a cast iron skillet. Won't use this recipe again. Will go back to my own.

Bland and flavorless. Did not care for it.

Pork Tenderloin Diablo

I love this easy recipe. I did skip the cayenne and extra butter. Watch the salt content on the chicken broth in addition to salty mustard. Creamy delicious sauce.

Slow Cooker Carnitas

Reviewed: May 3, 2014
Outstanding! I used 2 and 1/2 pounds of country style pork shoulder boneless ribs cut into baseball sized pieces and cooked on high for about 7 hours. I also tripled the rub mixture but omitted the cinnamon. Delicious.

Tasty but...LOL 3 ounces of fish fillet? Great appetizer. What did you make for dinner?

Sauteed Radishes

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2013
I thought this was amazingly good. Sort of skeptical at first but I'm a convert. Used 1/2 butter and 1/2 Olive oil. Used a bunch of fresh radishes from the grocery store. Cut them in about 1 inch chunks and seasoned with just salt and pepper. Sauteed on med/med high and turned them occasionally as they browned. Not EXACTLY like potatoes but close enough to satisfy that starchy thing. Low carb too. I think the one person who thought this was bitter must have used old radishes. I was very pleasantly surprised at the creamy mild flavor. Definitely a keeper.

San Francisco Sourdough Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2013
I quartered the recipe for my first small loaf and it was delicious. I wish I had managed a teensy bit crisper crust. And the inside was almost cake like. Moist and airy. I would like to know how to achieve those big holes and more *peasant* like bread. My starter (Sour Dough Starter # 2) is brand new so not terribly sour but the bread had great flavor. I will keep this recipe and keep trying to improve.
