About this Cook
My cooking triumphs
My family looks forward to tasting various pies and cheesecakes that I prepare for holidays and family events.
My cooking tragedies
I baked a cheesecake and used baking powder instead of cornstarch. The batter overflowed into the water bath.

Cherry Pie II
I used 5 cups PLUS one cup of blueberries, 4 tbsp of cornstarch, 1/2 cup of BROWN sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1tsp of vanilla. After it was done, I left it in the oven with the oven off for another hour. Then i took it out and left it for another couple of hours to set. Not a drop of juice when you give it enough time to set.

Blueberry Pie
I used 5 cups of blueberries, 3/4 cups of brown sugar, 5 tbsp of cornstarch, 1 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp nutmeg. I used the hot water pie crust recipe from this site (decided to make the pie in the last minute). There is enough butter in the crust, so I skipped the butter on top f the fruit. I baked it for 15 minutes at 425, then for 35 minutes at 350. I left the pie in the oven to cool and refrigerated it overnight. Blueberries set so perfectly, there was absolutely no run off of any juice. I hope this helps.

Creme Brulee
This was my first attempt at Creme Brule, so I read a lot of the reviews. Chef Peon's review was extremely helpful. I followed it to a tee and the result was awesome. My whole family loved it.
