Potato Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2013
I grew up with potato pancakes from a box, never my favorite. Made these on a whim thinking it would be fun and loved them! Can't wait to read the rest of the reviews and play with the recipe for next time

Irish Soda Bread Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2013
I made these for my St Patrick's day dessert and they were a huge hit. We had no currants so I substituted golden raisins. We also skipped the seeds for our first go round. Even my youngest who will usually turn his nose up at any kind of a cookie containing raisins absolutely loved them!

Three Cheese Spaghetti Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2013
I skipped the pie crust by accident. I just assumed the spaghetti and egg white would be crust enough. It was and it a great, simple dinner. Family loved it.

Overnight Cinnamon Rolls I

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2013
I was surprised these turned out as well as they did - and they turned out very well! Like others said, the dough was goopy seemed like it took FOR-ever for the dough to get to the consistency I needed - my Kitchenaide was actually hot to the touch when I was done. The dough took an hour and 20 minutes to rise, but rolled out very well on some heavily floured Silpat. They were very brown on top at the 20 minute mark so I covered the pan loosely with foil and moved it to the bottom rack. However, the kids and my husband love them. I rarely eat breads for breakfast, so I just had a slice and it was pretty darn tasty. I'm going to try proofing the yeast next time, and will probably add more filling.

Broccoli Chicken Casserole IV

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2013
Despite precooking the chicken it was a bit watery so next I'll remember to steam the brocoli as suggested. I used Italian Seasoning in place of the basil. My teenagers loved this - I wasn't as impressed, but think I can jazz it up a little more next time around. I'm giving it four since the family wants it again.

Florence's Famous Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: May 27, 2013
To be honest, the reason I chose this recipe was because I had all the ingredients on hand. They were very easy and my boys (4 of them) devoured the first batch. I used my Kitchenaide pastry hook to knead the dough, and a Pampered Chef stoneware jellyroll pan to bake them. I've never done any yeast breads before, but now I'm encouraged to try more.

Chinese Broccoli Slaw

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2013
I found it a little bland and a little sweet. It's a good base for another try with more pizzaz. I did add chicken to it and I think there would have been way too much dressing if I hadn't.

Guinness® Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2013
We love good beer in our house and I was really excited to try this one. While it was okay, I didn't find it particularly flavorful. I think someone who wants a very mild flavor would appreciate it though.

Baked Omelet Roll

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2013
Easy recipe but definitely needs more than just cheese. Found it a little bland so next time I'm thinking I'll add in some extras.

Pudding Poke Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2014
I have no idea what I did wrong, but this came out as a yellow cake, soggy with chocolate pudding.. I even re read the directions, double checked the box sizes and what I measured. I'm stubborn enough to try again though.
