Sweet Restaurant Slaw

This recipe is okay. It's definitely not the best I've eaten but not the worst either. I bought a bag of ready cole slaw mix, maybe that was the problem. I will be making this again with a homemade cabbage mix instead of store bought.

Kentucky Style Fried Green Tomatoes

This is a good recipe, but I typically use a tiny sprinkle of salt and buttermilk instead of the regular milk, gives better flavor.

Honey Glazed Ham

I've not tried this recipe.. yet. But I'm sure I'll love it! I just wanted to comment and thank Cookeratheart for the tip on not using corn syrup. My sister found out a couple of years ago that she is allergic to corn and all of corn products, so this was a huge help! Thanks Cookeratheart. =)

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

This was actually just simple and easy! I read over some of the recent reviews. The root beer worked better than water as far as the texture of the meat goes more than actually flavoring the meat. I had no issues with cleaning the root beer off of my crock pot, it actually came off with just water. My crock pot isn't anything fancy either, just an old hand-me-down one from a friend of mine who replaced hers a couple of Christmas' ago. Maybe that person didn't add enough root beer and/or over cooked it. Anyway, this was a great recipe. I work nights, so I just popped this baby in the crock pot with the root beer and cooked on low while I slept about 6 hours. When I woke up, I just drained the meat, shredded it, and topped it off with some sweet generic bbq sauce that I had in the fridge. =)

French Toast Casserole

All together, this was actually pretty good. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 star ratings is because I chose to use CinnaBon's cinnamon bread instead of regular bread crumbs. So I'm unsure of how the original recipe would've turned out. I also chose to make a vanilla glaze instead of using maple syrup. Note: the amount of milk you will need will vary with different types of breads, as some breads do not absorb as much as others. I thought the amount of milk the recipe called for was a little overboard for the bread I chose. I also added a little more butter... it's a Southern thing. =)
