I really like this pie - it is a stellar basic. Creamy and flavorful and not too sweet. A definite winner.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
I didn't read enough reviews - and when I went back, they were right. Leave out the water. Mine came out very runny. I also find it very, It was also way to sweet for me. I don't think I have ever said that before! Seriously though - I would cut the sugar in the first part by at least half. My husband and kids gobbled it up though....

Traditional French Canadian Tourtiere

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
This is a great, great recipe. The flavor is just amazing. My only advice is DON'T make the full recipe! I did and it took me days. Yes, I now have 7 tourtiere's in my freezer for the winter but I almost lost my mind too! I now cook a manageable 3 at a time. (24 servings.) The smells and flavors of this dish make it the perfect fall or winter meal. Thank you so much for sharing!

Butternut Squash and Spicy Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2008
Wow - what a great recipe! I went with mild sausage because of my kids and I thought I wouldn't like it (too bland) but what a surprise. It was excellent - I can't wait to make it again and I haven't even finished the first pot!

Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2008
This is a very good recipe - definitely a new staple. Only thing I needed to change was to add lemon - if it is greek, it has to have lemon in my world!

Pork Tenderloin with Dijon Marsala Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2007
Well - in typical form I had to get creative w/ some of the ingredience - just white wine instead of Marsala and German mustard instead of Dijon. It was seriously fantastic - My husband and I barely left any for the kids *L* I am making it this weekend for a dinner party - Thank you Koala Girl!

Tangy Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: May 8, 2006
Really Really Good and it smelled like a piece of heaven. My family gobbled it and then were ticked off at me when I used the remainder for soup - they wanted me to leave the dregs for picking. Highly Recommend!

Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: May 8, 2006
Incredibly good - I used apple butter instead of apple jelly because my darling husband got it mixed up at the store and it was still incredible. Definitely a keeper.

Caribbean-Marinated Shrimp and Scallops

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2006
I made this recipe with a seafood medley that was supplied by my local fish monger. It turned out quite lovely - wonderful on salad for a light but satisfying lunch. I can't say it was mind blowing but was a very good, very solid recipe.

Haddock Bubbly Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2005
It was a good easy recipe but lacked that certain "something" I look for - I agree w/ previous reviewers that it was quite bland - I think it would have benefited greatly with some additional seasoning. I would advise people to use thawed fish that has been drained as my fish didn't come out soupy or watery at all.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2005
very popular with the men folk at my house! Made a huge plate for some guys the other day and it was gone in 5-10 minutes...one of those kind of things that men just hover around. I did use a previous reviewer's advise and cooked on the pampered chef bar pan - carmalized very nicely.

very good, perfect for the summer. I could have stood just a bit more flavor but I am not sure how exactly. A wonderful health addition to anyone's summer menu.
