Chicken Scampi II

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2014
This was really good. Husband said it is definitely worth a repeat. I added more garlic and a little more lemon and 1/4 cup of white wine like others suggested. I also used mushrooms too and a red bell pepper and a little red onion. I baked everything at 425 degrees for about 37 minutes. Served it over brown rice and green beans. Tasty!

Resurrection Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2014
These tasted great! I made these Easter morning and loved the symbolism as I made them. Mine, however, did leak like others had stated in previous reviews, even though I tried my best to seal them. I just stated that, "The way I made these rolls looks like Jesus arose and exploded out of his linens!" I got a big laugh from my family. Will take the advice of others next time and try sealing them with two crescent rolls instead of one. Will become a family tradition for sure. Thanks for the recipe!

Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2014
Husband loved this! I knew he would love it since it has cheese and bacon in it. I enjoyed it as well but I still prefer my deviled eggs to have relish in them. I could easily add it to this recipe next time and see but I did not have any on hand this time. This was a great recipe to use all the eggs we had dyed for Easter! Thanks for the recipe!

ABC Pudding - Avocado, Banana, Chocolate Delight

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2014
This was great! Husband rated it five stars! I'm rating it 5 stars as well for taste and ease of preparation and cleanup! Will be one of our go to recipes when we need a chocolate fix and is a LOT healthier! Thanks for the recipe!

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2014
This was a great meal! It was soupy but I liked it that way. I cooked brown rice separately and added it at the end. My family does not like overly hot and spicy foods, so I only put 1/4 tsp cayenne and added 2 tsp minced garlic and everything else I followed exactly as written. I thought the flavor was great! Will definitely be worth a repeat!

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2013
Very good and super easy and quick to make! My husband, who is a big meat eater, actually really enjoyed this soup, and he was impressed that he liked a recipe that was vegetarian! I served it with some quinoa on the side. Will be worth a repeat!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2013
This soup is wonderful! I have made it twice now, once with leftover honey baked ham from Thanksgiving and then another time with a pound of thick sliced bacon. Rave reviews from all who tried both! I omit the celery because I simply don't like it and one time I had onion and another time I didn't and just used onion powder and it was still great! Will definitely be one of my go to soup recipes from now on! Thanks!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2013
I made this recipe exactly as written. It could not have been easier or more delicious! I used 1% milk and for the Parmesan cheese, I used the Sargento cheese brand (in my opinion it's better than Kraft or the store brand cheese) I used this sauce for Angela's Alfredo Ham recipe on this site, and it was deeeeeeeelicious!!!!! Tasted like it was from a restaurant! All the company went back for seconds, including the kids, so you know it had to be good!! I really look forward to using this sauce with chicken and broccoli, too! Thanks!!!

Cherry Pie with Almond Crumb Topping

It was quite a bit of work since I didn't have a cherry pitter, but the result was great! Loved the granola almond topping. I took this pie to a party and got rave reviews.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2013
Husband loves chicken and dumplings. I seasoned my chicken with Morton's nature's seasoning, used chicken broth instead of water to cover, then let it cook for 8 hours on low. When I got back from work, I added only one can of biscuit dough (one was enough for us) and put it on high for 90 minutes. Delicious! Husband said it was as good as his grandmother's so that is a huge compliment! Will make again soon!

Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2013
My first ever attempt at making a key lime pie!!! It was a hit!!! Oh my goodness, this was delicious! My husband said, "bravo, sweetie!" It had the perfect sweetness and tartness. I juiced about 23 key limes to get 3/4 cup, and used 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk. I did not add the zest and it was great without it, in my opinion. I used the buttery crunch crust recipe off this site and lets just say I was in key lime pie heaven! Will definitely make again soon!!!

Penne with Chicken and Asparagus

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2013
This was a really good dish! I used chicken tenders to make it easier and also added mushrooms to the mix. I used whole wheat penne pasta. Great, healthy meal! I bought the sargento parmesan cheese, and it is well worth it, tastes much better than the kraft powdered parmesan in the green can. Will make again and again! I may add sun dried tomatoes next time as well.

Sausage con Queso Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2012
Fantastic and incredibly easy! We don't like a lot of hot and spicy, so just used the regular sausage. I also used the white Velveeta. Yum, yum, yum!!! Husband absolutely loved it, will be a favorite go to recipe for sure.

Broiled Sesame Cod

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2012
I tried this out. The fish was okay, but the sesame seeds gave it an odd taste to me. Maybe I didn't toast them long enough, I'm not sure. We ate it but I probably won't be making it again.

Shrimp and Feta Cheese Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2012
Even when I increased the ingredients by a half for everything except the pasta, I still found this pretty bland! I used fresh garlic, fresh tomatoes, and then dried herbs. If I did it over, I would use fresh herbs and Italian seasoned canned tomatoes, I think...the feta cheese was a good addition. When I asked my husband what he thought, he said, "bland shrimp and noodles." I also bought fresh shrimp and had to peel and devein them all so by the time this dinner was done I was beat! I am shocked that I couldn't taste the garlic, I used nearly a whole bulb! Very disappointing... I'll buy the frozen already shelled and deveined shrimp from now on. It'll be a while before I try this one again. Thanks though.

Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2012
Deeeeelicious!!!! My go to recipe from now on. The only thing I did different was I did not add the salt..it was perfect without it. Made breakfast for dinner by making these and frying up some bacon!!! Simple and great! Will have again and again!
