Awesome kids
About this Cook
I am a mother of 3 Daughters 7 and 16, son 13,.My house hold ranges from(I'll Eat anything you put in front of me to don't let my lettuce touch the carrots or I'd rather starve).Very challenging bunch.
My favorite things to cook
Curry, Japanese food, baked healthy treats for the kids, and Fancy dinners for Daddy and me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't have any from mom mother or grandmother, but the fact that I've started with my kids is awesome. I think the new generation of kids are going to be so unequipped for life that if it wasn't for fast food they'd starve to death. We switch off who cooks in my home. I help the little one when it's her turn. she likes Mexican food and she is a self proclaimed vegetarian at 7.My son usually does mac n cheese as a side dish and I help him out with his meat of choice. The oldest always surprises us with her uncanny ability to create and replicate any dish her heart is set on. My partner usually does anything potatos and salad.
My cooking triumphs
Learning how to broil , sounds silly ,but it's been a challenge for me. Also to try to make fluffy cakes.

Sister Beth's Carrot Cake
I made this for my family and they loved it! I did add chocolate chips and excluded the coconut. Followed the rest to a T, came out perfect.

Easy Broccoli Quiche
I improvised on this one a whole lot but the base and the simple steps made it super easy. Used loaf of cheddar cheese bread instead of pie crust(because thats what I had)also meaning I had to use 3 more eggs because it absorbed most of it.I used coconut milk, works well. Used 3 mozzarella sticks and a slice of american cheese lol (once again its because its what I had) Used Artisian Broccoli and shallots. My dude was like OMG Yes! he's a chef so I feel pretty good about this :)
