French Fried Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
Excellent! The sugar water really does work...I cut my fries very thin because I like them xtra crispy and making them the normal way you pretty much have to cut them very thin to get them crispy...Big mistake when using the sugar water! They were TOO crispy...I cannot wait to make these again...I will just make sure to cut them a lot thicker this time!

Sharese's Spaghetti Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2006
I previously reviewed this recipe and I am back to add that I recently used Bacon Bits in this salad and they work great. They soften up almost immediately and give a nice flavor and texture. Also, you have to use the McCormick Supreme Salad Seasoning. It took me a while to find it but it is right with all the other spices at the grocery store. That is definately what makes this salad better than any other I have tried.

Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2006
I will never buy bottled bbq sauce again! I searched and searched for the perfect bbq sauce and I have finally found it. Marinade and sauce in one, can't beat that! Everytime I make these everyone just raves about them. My husband likes to use it on everything, including the hamburgers! I am still experimenting on the best method to make them though. The last time I threw the ribs (still frozen) in a large pot and let them boil until tender. Then I rubbed them with the "Dry Rub for Ribs" recipes on this site. Baked them for about 20 minutes. Then grilled them. They turned out really good that way. Not falling off the bone but very tender. Just the way I like them! Thank you for such a great recipe. You cannot go wrong with this one.

Giant Crisp Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2006
I have tried dozens upon dozens of chocolate chip cookie recipes looking for one that closely matched my great-grandmothers chocolate chip cookie recipe...This is it...I have FINALLY found it! I did substitute half the sugar for light brown sugar...And I didn't have any butter on hand so I used I Can't Believe It's Not Butter (margarine)...They came out perfectly...No complaints from me...Fantastic tase and texture...Not too sweet...Crispy outside and chewy inside...I did burn the 1st batch...20 minutes was way too long in my oven...Cooked them only 13 minutes...This is the ONLY recipe I will ever make again! Thank you!!!!

Red Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2007
I did change this recipe a little...I doubled the recipe & used 2 cups of chicken broth and 1 cup of water...It was a little brown and watery so I added one 12 oz can of tomato paste to thicken it up and give it more of a red color...I also put the salsa in the food processor to make it smoother & I added a little more salsa than was called for...I put it on enchiladas & this was delicious! I usually do not care for enchiladas but I ate until I was so stuffed I couldn't eat another bite...I am glad I doubled this recipe so I can freeze what is left over...This recipe was fast & easy...I will never use any other sauce on my enchiladas...If I could give more stars I would!!

Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2007
I have tried TONS of frostings for cookies. My hunt is over. This frosting is excellent! Not too sweet & not too hard. It dries JUST hard enough to stack. I do prefer almond extract over vanilla in cookie frostings so I did substitute the vanilla for almond. I also added 1 tsp of light corn syrup. Perfect. I am so addicted to this frosting that I have made cookies 2 x's a week for a few weeks now!!! Thank you for such a great recipe.
