YOU MUST use the 2 cups of chocolate chips. I tried using 1 and it just was a very empty cookie. I ended up adding more chocolate chips on my second batch in the oven and they looked/tasted a lot better.
I know this must sound weird, but after the cookies come out, push them down with your fingers. They are too puffy/rounded and look better after they've been compressed some.
Followed the recipe exactly, cooked for 15ish minutes. Decent cookie, not award winning - gets the job done. Did not use the best quality chocolate chips though either.
Taste-wise this recipe gets a 3, but I bumped it to a 4 for the easiness factor
