About this Cook
Working mom with fairly basic skills and frige full of fresh stuff turning brown so no patience for long, complicated recipes. Its all about the quick and easy but trying to keep it healthy too.
My favorite things to cook
Love to bake and love cooking Italian but spend most of my time on Quick and Easy, lots of salads and couldn't do without my slowcooker!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Honestly, take in Fridays and go out Saturdays
My cooking triumphs
No many, a couple of recipes from here have gotten raves, good at BBQ and dessert.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to list here :-)

Broccoli and Sausage Cavatelli
Sorry but this was just way too bland, no taste what so ever and I tried to doctor it up, adding more garlic, chopped tomatoes with spices and other stuff. You need to change it so much its not the same recipe, will not make again.

Cornbread and Sausage Stuffing
This was just ok for me, it seemed a little bland like there was something missing. I will continue to search for better

Chris's Incredible Italian Turkey Meatloaf
I recomend this, its very good and yet healthy too. I will say that it went a little awry along the way and was too thin so I defrosted more meat and added that and bread crumbs but since we like lots of flavor I had already doubled the spices anyway and it came out fine but made a TON. It was too much for one meatloaf so used half to do a regular meatloaf and then put the rest into a mini loaf tin to make mini loaves to freeze. Will definately make again.
