Restaurant-Style Tequila Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2004
This is really a fantastic recipe. My husband loves this dish at the restaurant, and although the concept is the same, the flavor isn't quite. I would, however, recommend this recipe to everyone who isn't on a diet. Don't hesitate to make this recipe based on the long list of ingredients. The flavor is really worth the effort.

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2005
This is such a great recipe. I have made a few cheesecakes, and this one by far turned out the best. I used Nilla Wafers instead of chocolate cookies because I am not a fan of chocolate/fruit mixes. Without really realizing it, I put more of the raspberry sauce in the cheesecake then the recipe called for because I didn't see that you were supposed to serve the cheesecake with the leftover sauce. It was great- I'll do the same thing the next time I make the cheesecake. I served the cheesecake with a white chocolate sauce that I made- and it was great. Now, if I can only figure out how to take the cheesecake off of the bottom of the springform pan without messing up the cake for serving.

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: May 9, 2005
If I could give this cake more stars, then I would. It is absolutely wonderful! The frosting alone is enough for 5 stars. I could eat this cake every day. I think that the chopped walnuts on top add so much to this recipe- and I usually shy away from adding nuts to my baked goods. You will love this cake!!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2005
This is truly the best lasagna I have ever had. My mom is a gourmet italian chef, and she was really impressed by this recipe. I have even replaced my red sauce recipe(that has been passed down from my ancestors from Sicily) with the one from this recipe. Everytime I serve it, people beg for the recipe. The only thing I did differently was use ground chicken instead of beef (my husband doesn't eat beef) and use red wine instead of water in the sauce.

Italian Fig Cookies II

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2005
This was a fantastic recipe. My sicilian grandmother and great aunts would always make fig cookies at Christmas time, but I don't have their recipes. I have been on the search to find one comparable. This isn't like my Grandma's, but it is really good. My husband loved them. Funny, when it said "snip" on the recipe, I actually took scissors, and "snipped" the dough to give them a slotted look. I didn't know that it meant to pinch the dough. I thought the slotted look was neat though.

The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2004
Seriously the best cookie recipe I have ever made. My husband loves these!! The peanut butter flavor is so fantastic. Definately do not cook longer than 12 minutes unless you like a crunchier cookie. Woo Hoo!

Dutch Babies II

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2010
I have loved these since I was little - they're so delicious with fresh lemon and powdered sugar! I doubled the recipe, but still used a 10" pan, because I liked the idea of it being more dense. It still rose great, and was the perfect texture. I just had to cook it for about 16 minutes instead of 12. I also added a tbsp of granulated sugar and a tbsp of vanilla extract to the batter. Made for a yummy breakfast for me and my little boy this morning!

Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
This was so good. I made it for Father's Day dessert, and it was a hit! I doubled the recipe, and only had 2 cups of fresh blueberries, so I used 2 cups of additional frozen blueberries, and it worked great! My husband said it was one of the best desserts I've made (and I've made a lot!)

Mama's Asian Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2010
This was wonderful! I cooked the chicken and veggies first and added the sauce at the end (after everything was cooked). I'll be using this sauce recipe over and over. The orange flavor was perfect. Yum!

Baked BBQ Fried Chicken

This was so delicious. My husband is a big fan of KFC's bbq chicken and this is a close second. We used Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce, and it was fabulous!!

Garlic Parmesan Orzo

This was so easy, and delicious! I will be making this often.... if I can figure out how to reduce the calorie content and still make it this delicious! (Oh, and I also added some extra garlic and shredded parmesan).

Sugar Cookies IX

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2007
I don't ever need to search for another sugar cookie recipe again. This is amazing! I rolled the dough into balls and dipped them in colored sprinkles- they spread out beautifully- and were perfectly round. The flavor and texture is also outstanding! Thanks for the awesome recipe!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2007
Wow- this is such a unique and fun recipe. My guests at our housewarming party loved it- and it went quickly. You could really add any kind of fruit (probably not bananas) to this salsa to suit your taste. I did have to cook the chips longer to get them crispy, because I didn't want them to be chewy. Fun and yummy.

This was super yummy. My favorite part of an apple crisp is the crisp, and there's never enough! This recipe has plenty of it, and is soooo good!

Baklava

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2005
Wow. This recipe is definately a keeper. I am very impressed. I never thought that I could make Baklava, but this recipe proved me wrong. I used melted butter and applied to the sheets with a pastry brush- I used about 1.5 cups of butter. I like the idea of pulverizing the nuts in a food processor first- I may do that next time. The honey sauce is fabulous. I used salted butter, and it was perfect- it gave it a lot of extra flavor. Mmmmm.... Baklava. Mmmmmm...

Molasses Crinkles

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2005
These were fabulous cookies, and this recipe should be in everyone's recipe box. They are so chewy. I used butter instead of shortning. They spread out just fine, and have the perfect spice that a molasses cookie should have. Thank you so much for this great addition to my Christmas cookie trays!
