Elegant Orzo with Wilted Spinach and Pine Nuts

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2014
I found this recipe while in a rush to find a side for my entree (salmon). I had most of the ingredients on hand but still left out quite a few things: the olive oil, crushed red pepper (I typically don't like spicy things), the pine nuts and the tomato. Even without these ingredients, this was a really stunning and simple recipe that is definitely going in the do-again box.

Karen's Slow Cooker Chicken Fajitas

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2014
Fantastic recipe. I wolfed down two servings and am looking forward to re-heating it for lunch today. I cooked on high for about 3.5 hours. There was not a whole lot of liquid so I flipped the chicken/stirred a couple times to make sure everything was heated through. Didn't bother with the liner. Recipe is definitely a do-again.

B and L's Strawberry Smoothie

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2014
This tasted wonderful, even on a cold wintry morning. Reminded me of summertime. I used frozen, pre-sliced strawberries and reduced the amount of ice I put in (and probably could have omitted it entirely).

Mocha Coffee

Great recipe. I mixed the powder, sugar, and 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream (not milk) together in the coffee mug first. Then microwaved for about 20 seconds. Finally, I poured in the coffee.

Buttermilk Syrup

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
This syrup was fantastic. Tastes like heaven, and so easy to make! My husband kept asking what the ingredients were, like he couldn't believe how simple and sweet it was.

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken with Bok Choy

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
The flavor, while not unpleasant, was just a little too 'out there' for me and my husband. Not a do-again for us.

Cincinnati Chili I

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2012
Decent, but not a do-again. We tried it with spaghetti the first time, and elbow macaroni with the leftovers. Macaroni was an improvement. The chili had a weird, greasy aftertaste -- to be fair, I did use cheap beef.
