Heavenly Halibut

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
Fabulous! I loved this recipe! I don't think I changed a thing. I don't care too much for onions, but the green onions really made it. Even my husband who doesn't care for creamy sauces thought it was excellent. I actually found myself eating the leftover sauce by the spoonful before I washed the dish. (I'm sure that was great for the diet!) =o)

Mild Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
I loved this recipe! For those of you saying this was too bland and then gave a poor rating - the recipe says MILD. And it is perfect for young kids. I cut back on the cheese, added a taco seasoning packet to the chicken mixture and added a can of enchilada sauce to the cheese/sour cream topping. One of my favorites!

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
These were pretty good. 10 minutes in my oven would have WAY burned them; I needed about 5-1/2 minutes so watch them closely. They were a little bland tasting, even after adding more peanut butter. Maybe next time I will try adding a little vanilla.

This was great! I'm normally not a huge pork fan, but this had such good flavor. I will definitely make again soon!

White Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
This was pretty good and even better the next day, but I don't know if I'll be in a big hurry to make it again. I used Pepper Jack cheese and a mild salsa and it had a nice kick to it.

Honey Corn Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
Not sure what I am missing. I thought it was incredibly bland. We barely ate 2 pieces and I threw the rest away.

Honey Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
Hmmmm...I followed this recipe almost exactly (using 2% milk instead of heavy cream) and was not impressed. I thought the texture was perfect - not crumbly as others has found - but it was rather bland.

Black Bottom Cupcakes I

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
These were very good. I would probably rate at a 4.5 if I could. I didn't like them as well as some others did; The cake seemed a little bland to me and I think it could have been a little bit sweeter. I followed the recipe exactly and they turned out great. The filling was wonderful.

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
This was very tasty and easy - I will make again. I dredged the chicken in flour before dipping it in the egg and cracker crumbs, other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. 1/4 cup of butter would definitely have been enough. The crust was crisp, not soggy, and the chicken is moist and has a great flavor.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
I'm not much of a soup person, but I made this for my hubby; I was very pleasantly surprised! I cut the flour to 3/4 c and sauteed some onion, garlic and carrots in olive oil to add to the broth. I used the regular 6 oz box of long grain wild rice and cooked it prior to adding to the soup. I also used 2% milk instead of cream and it was still fabulous. This will definitely be a dinner to help us through the long winter!

Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
This was so great and so easy. It makes for a very festive dish when served in a pumpkin - thanks for the idea! I sprinkled the top with some cinnamon and nutmeg and served with cinnamon Teddy Grahams and Granny Smith apples. I'm not even a pumpkin fan, but thought this was tasty. Would definitely make again for any fall event!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2008
Ok, I'm going to be one of those people that irritate me...I am rating the recipe after making changes. Following the advice of so many before me, I used half a packet of Onion soup mix in addition to the chopped onion. I used one can of Golden Mushroom soup, but also used half a can of Cream of Mushroom soup. I added garlic, salt and pepper also. Right before serving, I added the cream cheese along with a tablespoon or two of sour cream. If my husband was more of a mushroom fan, I would have added some additional mushrooms at the end as well. Great recipe!

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2008
This was a really tasty, easy recipe. My husband (who doesn't like rich, creamy dinners OR artichokes) ate it without complaint and even said it was good! The only change I made was to add real garlic to the sauce (instead of garlic pepper)and I added salt and pepper to the chicken prior to putting on the sauce. It is pretty rich, and I don't think I'll add to my rotation, but I will make it every now and then for something different.

Chicken a la King I

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2008
I love this recipe and will be adding it to my rotation! I substituted peas for green peppers and omitted the piminetos, since I didn't have any on hand. I served over rice, but next time I will try the puff pastry as someone else suggested; I think it would be a great dinner party recipe!

Bodacious Broccoli Salad

I loved this! I cut back on the pepper and onion, as other readers suggested. I used bacon bits (the real bacon bits) to save some time and also added Craisins and almond slivers. Yum!

Lemon Bundt Cake

Fabulous! Everyone loved it, including 3 picky kids! The cake was moist and had the perfect texture. I followed previous suggestions and made a glaze with lemon juice, lemon zest, powdered sugar and just a little bit of milk. Will definitely be making again!

These were great! I didn't have poppyseeds, but it didn't seem to matter. I used Sweet Hawaiian dinner rolls and they worked out fabulously!

So easy and so delicious! I used thin cut pork chops and cut back on the marinating time. Even my 2-year-old liked them!
