Double Chili Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2005
Quick, easy and tasty. I have been making this for years w/out the green chilis, but will try it that way. We like it with giant corn chips (ie Fritos Scoops)

Bow Tie Pasta with Sausage and Sweet Peppers

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2004
Simple, tasty and easy to put together. I used red peppers, because I prefer them. Even my picky kiddos liked it. Next time I might add some onions. Thanks for one that's a keeper!

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2004
A truly, truly delicious recipe. DH rated it a keeper after only one bite. I think I am going to make the sauce again tonight - even my picky kids liked it (they never eat anything they don't recognize, ie sundried tomatoes) Made it exactly as the recipe states and I don't think it needs any tinkering at all! Thank you, Holly, for the wonderful recipe!

Caribbean Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2004
Good recipe. Be sure to get the correct thing when buying coconut milk. I bought Cream of Coconut near the coctail mixes. It was thick, but way too sweet, overwhelming. Will try it again with the right ingredient. Served it with a Caribbean rice mix from the grocery.

Cottage Dill Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2004
Very moist and flavorful. I don't like cottage cheese, so I swear I could taste it, probably in my mind. DH liked it a lot.

Steak Tip Marinade

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2004
Excellent marinade. I let it sit for quite a while. I used the wrong cut of meat - it had a terrible "vein" of very tough gristle running thru it, but I'm bad at chosing cuts of meat. Will use again with a different cut.

Best Beef Dip Ever

Loved it, so did my hubby. Not the kids, but they are picky.

Daddy Charles's Spooley

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2004
Always on the lookout for fun new cocktails, I thought I'd try this. I thought it was OK and my friend thought they were good, so did her husband. The chianti was a little heavy for me, but that's just how red wine is for me. I added orange juice and a splash of Ginger Ale to some of the leftovers - much improved that way in my opinion. Gave it more of a "punchy" taste. It was a fun recipe to try!

Connie's Zucchini "Crab" Cakes

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2004
Told my family they were having "crabbie patties". DH was fooled and he liked them. The 4 year old ate them, but the 8 year old could not be fooled and he did not like them. I thought they weren't bad. Easy to do, not too mushy as I drained the zuchhini well during the day. Thanks for a new idea for a family in a food rut!

St. Louis Pork Steaks

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2004
As a St Louisan who makes porksteaks in a totally different way, I thouht I'd try these and they were great! Didn't quite need all the basting sauce, but I used quite a bit, as I basted numerous times in the first 15 minutes of cooking. Thanks for a new variety of what we already love!

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: May 18, 2004
This one was great, at least to 3 out of 4 in the family! I may sub chicken broth for the wine next time, as I think that is what turned off my 8 year old. Definately a keeper!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: May 11, 2004
My husband liked this one, the kids said they didn't like the fish. I am just funny about fish with cheese, I guess and it was very salty. Will probably not make again. It was very easy to do though - I had never cooked tilapia and didn't have any trouble.

Mexican Turkey Stuffed Shells

The whole family loved this recipe, didn't even notice I'd slipped them ground turkey. Easy and filling. Will make this one again.

Kraut Bierocks

Reviewed: May 11, 2004
I made this recipe as written several years ago and they were wonderful, if a little mild in the meat filling. I'm getting ready to make them again. I think I'm going to squeeze a couple of fresh brats out of the casings to add to the beef. And I'll probably use sauerkrat. YUM! Thanks for posting this recipe!

Chicken a la Good

Reviewed: May 11, 2004
Tasted good, although it came out of the pan looking a little rough (it slid apart). I didn't crisp the bacon in the broiler as suggested, but definately should have. Will probably make again.

Didn't use the raisins, my family won't eat them in baked goods. But this was a huge hit, wonderful flavor and very moist. Will make this more than just on St. Pat's!

Garlic Lovers Beef

Reviewed: May 11, 2004
OK recipe. The beef was wonderfully tender, like a well cooked pot roast. Just needed a little more "spice" according to my hubby. Served with wide egg noodles, was just a little bland.
