Nana's Slow Cooked Meaty Tomato Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2012
Wow! So delicious! I omitted the ground beef because I didn't need that much sauce. I also added a heaping 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper because my family loves spicy food. So good!

Lime-Marinated Grilled Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2012
I used a bit more lime juice and marinated this for more than 2 hours after reading reviews that said the flavor isn't very strong. Overall, it was very good but we still wanted a bit more lime flavor. This is a great recipe if you love the natural flavor of salmon.

Ultimate High Altitude Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2012
These cookies look great and have good texture, but they definitely lack flavor. I added the whole bag of chocolate chips and I'm glad I did because that helped make up for the lack of flavor in the dough. Too much flour.

Shrimp, Sausage, and Fish Jambalaya

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2012
Wow! This was to die for!!! I made it extra spicy with extra chili powder, used brown rice, and a little less butter (this has so much flavor I didn't need the extra calories for the taste). My husband and I absolutely LOVED this recipe!!

Very good. I made this very spicy and we loved it that way. I did have a hard time finding the chilies, however.

Stuffed Acorn Squash II

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2012
Very good if you like acorn squash. I did add a bit of brown sugar to the squash as other reviewers suggested. The squash was sweet and the filling was spicy. I liked the combo but my hubby didn't care for it.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
Wow! That was delicious! My hubby and I LOVED this recipe! I doubled the spices and cut the chicken breasts in half as many suggested. I also added a shot of tequila with the lime juice. Mmmmmmmmmm! **I just made this same recipe with salmon filets. So good! I lessened the cooking time to 4 minutes per side and then cooked them for about another 4 minutes after adding the tequila and juice ( I used lemon juice this time b/c that's what I had on hand). I love this recipe!

Caramelized Spicy Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2012
Very good! I don't usually have much luck with pumpkin seeds, but these were tasty. Much more sweet than spicy or savory, but they have a little kick at the end. Yum!

Andouille and Chicken Creole Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2013
Very yummy if you LOVE spicy food! I followed the recipe exactly and think I might try it over rice next time to soak up more of the delicious sauce (it's not a very thick sauce). I may also add shrimp next time to add a little texture. Also, I had to transfer mine to a stock pot because it made so much....next time I'll just start with the bigger pot. Overall, very good!

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2013
So yummy! As many other people, I used thin sliced chicken breasts. I cut the bread crumbs and Parmesan in half and only used 1 egg. Also, I cooked the spaghetti and then put it in the bottom of the baking dish. Poured double the amount of sauce on the spaghetti and then put the chicken on top. Cooked for 10 mins and then added mozzarella cheese for the last 10 mins. Turned out delicious!

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2013
Used 4 boneless skinless thighs but skin on would have made it more crispy. 1/4 cup olive oil, 1T fresh rosemary, 1tsp dried oregano, 1 heaping tsp minced garlic, 1/2 tsp. lemon pepper, grind salt on top. Used 4 big red potatoes. To cook boneless thighs: on large cookie sheet, cook potatoes for 15 mins then add chicken for 30 mins. Take out chicken and let sit covered for 10 mins. Drain oil from potatoes, stir, and cont cooking for 10 mins. Yummy!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2013
Very yummy and easy! I was lazy and just poured half the sauce on top of the chicken and then cooked for 25 minutes at 375. I then flipped the chicken, poured the rest of the sauce on top and cooked another 15 minutes. It would probably be better if basted regularly but it was yummy without doing that too. I also halved the amount of sugar and will probably use even less next time, it was very sweet! This would be delicious grilled!
